Dayanand Brijendra Swarup (Post-Graduation) college popularly known as D.B.S (P.G.) College was established in July 1961 in Dehradun. The college offers UG courses in 13 subjects and PG courses in 11 subjects under the faculty of Science and Arts. DBS is popular for its specialization in Science courses. The college also provides Self-finance as well as Add On/ Vocational Courses. Eligibility for UG courses is 10 + 2 passed whereas for PG courses is bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Admission is strictly based on the merit obtained in an intermediate or an equivalent examination. Seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC, and PWD. For regular courses, 90% of seats in the college are reserved for candidates of Uttarakhand and 10% for other states.

- Library: All the PG Departments have their independent libraries, the main library with a capacity of about 43,000 books and journals, and spacious reading rooms with the subscription of a number of newspapers, magazines, and broadband connectivity.
- IGNOU Study Centre: DBS College boasts of its initiative in the field of professional and regular education in distance mode with its on-campus IGNOU Study Centre.
- Co-Curricular Activities: Apart from academics, DBS (PG) College is a home for a number of Co-Curricular activities. Participating in co-curricular activities within the college is an advantage to students because of the participating and volunteering certificates they get through these activities. These certificates leave a good impression on the C.V. of the students. Two of the most important Co-Curricular activities of DBS college are as follows:
- NSS: In DBS (PG) College there are three vibrant units of NSS under the control of three Programme Officers. Two units belong to girls and one unit to boys. Students of undergraduate classes are registered as volunteers for these units. Only those students who put in 120 hours of social work every year under routine activities for two years and attend at least one special camp are eligible for an NSS certificate.
- NCC: NCC Training is imparted to both Boys and Girls students at DBS (PG) college. Both units work under the State Directorate of Uttarakhand with its controlling units 29 UK BN and 11 UK BN.
- Rovers and Rangers: The Rovers and Rangers units are also active in the college for the training of students in different personality development traits. The units work under Bharat Scout and Guides organization, India.
- Sports: The College has an independent department of Physical Education, headed by an Associate Professor to look after sports and games. Basketball court, Volleyball court, Table-Tennis hall, playground for Cricket, Football, Kabaddi, and Hockey are available along with other basic facilities for sports.

- The college's infrastructure is pretty nice as it's a government college. So according to it, the college has so many facilities to students during classes and practical.
- The teacher of the college are also hardworking in their particular subjects and try their best for the students.
Admission:
After completing my 12 standard, I was not sure about the colleges so my family admissioned me that college and I wasn't well known of any courses so I chose this course randomly. The procedure of admission was to choose two core subjects between three subjects and one of them will be additional for 2 years and in the last year of the college, the additional subject would be eliminated.

- The auditorium and availability of books

- The building are very old and the furniture
- The labs are not maintained except geology lab

Admission process pretty smooth because there were lots of senior for help all tha documentation were completed by them it was very good experience for me a stranger from different city to get such type of hospitality. Courses are very very few in no. Reservation is on the basis of caste and economic status in the admission process No improvement

Those who have passed with 55 per cent in their graduation. Candidate must have taken the CUET PG exam and cleared the cutoff of the college. CUET forms are available on the NTA website. The exam is conducted by NTA. The application fee is 1000 and the dates were in month of June. No as such improvement I want to see in the admission process.

Merit list are realeased on the website that can be checkded online and after you got your name on merit list, you have to collect all your graduation marksheets and other required documents to submit offline.and finally fee is submitted and you become the student of the college #Reseration criteria is also available ,which helps in conquering the seat in merit list #Overall admission procedure is quiet convenient, moreover students leaders help and even do all the admission procedure for new students .

You should be 12th pass. Firstly students have to fill out online merit forms and wait till the merit list will come. After the name of the student will come on the merit list they can complete the admission procedure. Students have to go to college on the given date for admission with all their original documents. Some documents' photocopy will be submitted to the college. The application fee for the first year will be approx 1700rs. Reservation is available for Obc, Sc, and St categories as per the government rules.

Online registration form through college portal for merit form. There should be 55% marks necessary for admission. Online merit form fees are 50 rs. All documents should be necessarily attached. There is reservation st sc obc merit list should be according to the reserved student. There is some benefit of NCC and NSS certificates. and the admission fee is 3500 for the year. I think there should be some concession in fees. And during this admission, everything should be cashless.

DBS PG College is a semi-government college that comes under HNBGU central university. Here admission process is merit-based and for the last 3 years, the UG merit of PCM is always been 90+. Admission forms are submitted online for merit and then further admission process is at offline mode in college and online registration fees are 50Rs. Here is no hostel under college. Here is also a reservation quota as per the government for OBC, ST, SC, etc. This college provides a good atmosphere for study as it is a government college a normal middle-class student can study here and I would say it is affordable. Teachers motivate you for an internship, future goals. And here yearly fees 1300+ and examination fees per seem are around 850. And I think it is not much every middle-class family can afford it. Here is also a sports field and children participate at the state level in games like handball and basketball. Here is also NCC and NSS for interested students.

The exam process is online , first' you have to register yourself on their official site , then you add your personal , educational as well as qualification exam details , after that you apply for the course you want to take admission it then you pay the fees for applying for the course which is 50 per combination you apply for , then the college declares his merit list for various courses and once your name is in merit list you have to upload the documents and wait for the scheduled teacher to verify them once he verifies form his end , then you have to pay the fees and you are admitted to the course , even after online admission y have to visit their for document verification which isn't very convenient for students . So the process should be ompletely online as verification takes a lot of time , and merit list should be in a proper order , as the improper order cause difficulties to student to find their name , and the notification should be updated time to time .
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is quite good according to me. Ya, they take us to the industrial visit but still there are some issues related to all this but overall its average. They take care of the practical knowledge also.
