Course Curriculum Overview
The course is pretty much very relevant to the actual hotel industry. But some subjects still lack behind in terms of the growing technology. Eg- the curriculum teaches the IDS software to students but with growing technology, there are much newer pms systems used by the hotels.
Internships Opportunities
Every student in their second year has to undergo a 4 month internship at any hotel of their choice. A wide range of hotels approach the college to interview students for their industrial training. This training is majorly based on the 4 core departments of the hotels.
Placement Experience
The college has a record of 100% placement since the past few years. The companies coming to the college for placements are all good brand companies like taj, Oberoi's, ITC, Hyatt, marriott, accor along with retail brands like compass, Sodexo, bluestone etc
Fees and Financial Aid
1st year - 1,25,000 Hostel - 55,000+55,000 Caution - 5000 2nd year- 1,30,000 Breakage fee - 700 3rd year - 1,45,000 Locker fees - 1000 Apart from this the students have to pay up for their own ingredients required for any competition or any food or beverage trials they'd want to do.
Campus Life
The college has various committees like the culinary committee, FnB committee, sports, cultural, front office, Rotaract, literary committee etc for the students to join as per their interests. There's various competitions that take place held by the committee for the students to gain confidence inntheir own departments of interest
Hostel Facilities
The hostels of the college are pretty decent, basic facilities like food, wifi, gysers, common tv are provided in the hostel. There's either double or triple sharing rooms with basic wardrobes, study tables, chairs, and single or bunk beds. Students are provided with breakfast lunch evening tea nd snacks and dinner on a daily basis with a cyclic menu.
Admission
Students need to clear the NCHMCT JEE to be eligible to join any of the IHMs in India. I joined the college as it's on a good rank in comparison with all the other IHMs in India. The college Is maintained really well when compared to the other IHMs in India especially when it comes to maintaining hygeine. Plus good exposure is given to students in terms of trainings, workshops, internships, jobs etc.
Faculty
All the faculties are very well experienced in the industry and the education sector. They are really helpful and give good exposure. There are 2 exams every semester - midsems and end sems And apart from this a student need a minimum of 5 internals to be eligible to sit for the exam
Night Life
All the 1st year new joinees of the college usually opt for the hostel option. The in time for girls is 8pm and boys is 9pm. The college has its own library, gym, laundry etc for the students to use The other senior students usually opt to rent a house around the college campus. The college is located in a residential area which is very safe to go around and peaceful. finding houses around the college is not difficult at all.
