This college of Architecture is meant to STRUCTURE lives.

Remarks :

Overall it is a decent college, there are some negatives which the college needs to work on. I feel like colleges should be more student friendly rather than just being money eaters. The development fees should strictly be used of the development of the infrastructure of the college. Faculties need to be more understating of the students rather than treating them like trash.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course B.Architecture is the most fun curriculum. It is the amalgamation of every single thing that I love to do. It involves drawing, Sketching, Analytical Thinking, Problem solving and a lil bit of theoretical knowledge too. So I have got every reason to enjoy the course that i have chosen.

Internships Opportunities :

No, my college doesnt provide any internship. Thats the way it has always been. However fresh graduates can expect a decent stipend of about 12k to 35k which offcourse depends on the meritoriousness of the students.

Placement Experience :

My college doesnt provide any internship.Graduates need to make an updated portfolio of their work and need to send it out to architecture firms in which they wish to get hired. Fresh graduates can expect a decent stipend of about 12k to 35k which offcourse depends on the meritoriousness of the students.

College Events :

This college believes in celebrating most of the Indian festivals like Holi Diwali Ganesh Chaturthi etc if not students are given holidays for most of the festivals apart from the festivals this college conducts events like MOSAIC, PINNACLE etc.which are meant for the enjoyment of students.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees of this course amounts to 1lac rupees. Exclusive of the other fees like development fees, tour fees and other additional charges. If I add in the other additional charges , the fees would be 1.5 lacs annually.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Dbt is a site to avail scholarship to Obc, Sc, Nt students. Which waives off almost half of the fees and transfer it into the students accounts. Altho this process is tedious. But who doesnt mind almost 50k returned to them.haha

Campus Life :

There are no labs except Computer labs. This college doesnt support extracurricular activities watsoever However,College conducts events like MOSAIC, PINNACLE etc.which are meant for the enjoyment of students.

Hostel Facilities :

The college provides decent hostel facility for students who have been here from places outside mumbai. The provide good staying facilities and food facilities as well. However the system inside the hostels should be in strict control as there are news and reports of ragging every year.

Alumni/Alumna :

There is no alumini network or any source of connecting to the seniors whatsoever. I really regret it. I believe there should be a provision for this as students would get a better understanding and a perspective of how to survive the course.

Exam Structure :

The course duration of architecture is 5 years the first two years of the course is conducted by college while the second sem of every year for the later years is conducted by the University of Mumbai the exams consists of theory papers and juries of which most important is the JURY. Juries meaning displaying your Sem's work that is, your portfolio that you made over the course of 6 months in front of jurers and getting your work reviewed and critiqued.

Admission :

I got the admission in this college through a process called CAP allotment process. The admission process is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education of Maharashtra state which alots admission to the student keeping their merits in perspective. Which i think is fair enough.

Faculty :

You cannot everything to be flowery, always. Being very honest here, the faculty of this college is a mix of various characters. Some teachers deserved to be adored. They bring life into whatever they teach. They are the people who will be remembered whilst having those tears of joys in the eyes. While on the other side of the roads are the faculties who make your living in the college an absolute NIGHTMARE! Talking further about this might get me in trouble.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a challenging course but it is also a holistic profession which includes equal amt. Of technicality and design eq which makes it a bit challenging. But it helps you with development of your skills and also helps you with personality development. You can achieve great heights in this course if you really are passionate about this field or else it will overtake your life and will make it more challenging.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is can be really complex because there are many subjects, but it can be fun when you're really focused and interested, Currently I have 11 subjects in 3rd year, but you have to be really good at time management, in order to succeed or get good grades and prepare a decent portfolio/resume for a better future/career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The academic load is there but if at any point we have any difficulty in not completing the assignments, the faculty is understanding. It does affect the marks but you can always improve. The teaching schedule is planned and given to us. One main thing is that we started designing our own structures in first sem itself with plans elevations and sections and models of it. While the other colleges haven't done that.

Placement Experience:

From semester 8 student becomes eligible it is a period when the internships began. Students are getting placed in very good firms throughout the country and even a few of them are getting positions in foreign countries. Around 70-75% are getting hired every year but mostly based on their performance throughout the year. I'm not sure whether the companies come to college and pick students but yes students have options and opportunities to approach the firm and they certainly get placed. Even faculties are also good helpful and give the opportunity to join their firm itself.

Admission:

The admission is based on the NATA scores. The admission process is quite lengthy. You have to wait for the merit list.

Placement Experience:

The placement could be better. As is not able to manage placement activities in a proper way due to lack of management and managing personnel.

After a government college recognition and your portfolio work its easier to get a job. College doesn't do any placement. None of the architectural colleges do placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is good. It's putting in a lot of work, that's architecture though . Paractical learning is through site visits mostly. Any Electives can be chosen front the list provided by the university.
