Course Curriculum Overview

The course in Geology is having lot of preference now a days because of the mining aspects. The University provide a good approach for the practical work with microscope experience and field tours also dissertation work.

Class Size: 18Course Fees: INR 23000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The first time admission fee was 16000 with 7000 hostel fee. The semester admission fees is around 12000-14000 with the exam fees of 1200-1400. The scholarship can be applied are national scholarships and State scholarships.

Campus Life

The infrastructure was very good with all the facilities like mess , hostel, play ground, auditorium etc. All the occasions of different states celebrated here with lots of joy. Every department also celebrate their own days .

Hostel Facilities

The hostel admission fee was 7000 which was refundable and the readmission fees for one semester was 2000 which was not refundable but the facilities given was worth for money. The mess food charges 110 rupees daily but the food was mainly south indian foods.

Admission

The admission process was based on the Common University entrance test (CUET) . After the declaration of the Cuet marks , need to apply for the central universities . The universities display their merit list indivisually.

Faculty

The facuities were mostly passed out from IITs with the remarkable academic background, the Marks were given in Cgpa structure with semesters having 80 marks and 20 Marks in internal exam which also includes class performances, behaviour, attendance etc.

Night Life

The night life in Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) is very special. The library opens till 9:30 after that also the discussion room opens 24*7 . Student roam around the flag post , cafeteria till late night.

The choosed this course as I have complete background of bachelor degree in Nutrition and was interested in doing community nutrition service where master degree would enrich me with the background knowledge to empower peoples with Nutrition knowledge.The faculty staffs have done their doctrate in food science and nutrition and are enriched with best modern teaching methods which guided and motivate to learn a lot about the field .The term exams where conducted as 2 internal exams each semester and 1 external exam .The course is for 2years so there are 4 external exams and 8 internal exams .The different lab enriched with current updated equipment help to learn more practically ,the lab setup included foods lab ,food testing lab , nutrition lab and physiology lab .The exams are easy to pass if you are 70 percent consistent on practical and theory papers .

My Honest Opinion

Placement Experience:

Last semester students can participate in the Campus placement.And also 2nd year students can also participate. Many companies will come for the placement camp.Like Infosys, Wipro and many other IT companies and also Fianance companies are offered for BBA students. Highest Salary Package is about 4LPA and average is about 1.2LPA. Minimum 60% of students gets placement. My plans to get a job in an IT company within this year.

Very much satisfied with the infrastructure, and we enjoy all things in our college life. Placements: Our course is information technology. Our class has 45 students. HCL, Omega, etc., come here. Overall, 35 students got internships in our course on QSpiders. They are offered a job as well. Infrastructure: Our department is located in a good place in our college. We like our department staff very much. They are very kind and good. Our favorite place is our lab. They have a good atmosphere. The classrooms are very neat. Faculty: Our teachers are kind and good at heart. We are very proud of our department staff and HOD. Their teaching is very good. The curriculum is relevant. I applied for the other colleges like Banaras Hindu University and Allahabad University and many other colleges and that colleges are quite old and they have some reputation and name of their academic background and their curriculum. I didn't get admission their because of my low marks as i am from general category and for general category the cutoff is very high and so that i had given the CUET exam that is common University Entrance Exam and that therough i got my college Central University of Tamilnadu. I didn't get any rejection from any other college i choosen this college. In my college admission process happens through the common university entrance exam that is known as CUET and by this exam you can get admission and eligibilty for the exam is you have to pass 12th with minimum percentage so that you can give exam CUET and after doing counselling processs you will get admission in this college....Read More

During my admission, the exam was CUCET. I had a score of 212. I got admission in the first allotment itself. I guess the cut-off was around 150 for general category students that year.
