Likes

Quality of teaching. The main subject teachers are quite theoretical yet interesting.
Availability of college forums are never difficult

Dislikes

It takes long to get any office work done
Classes are full of dust everywhere hence not enough cleanliness
It is a five story building with all classes happening on the 3,4 or 5th floor that the staff expects us to walk to.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is rigid and taught obly according to the mumbai University syllabus given. Nothing additional is taught or practiced. No extra curricular included apart from studies which gets excessive

Class Size: 240Course Fees: INR 14191 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The total yearly fees I have paid is 14191 It does keep increasing year by year with some new maintenance fee every year. No scholarships or merit cum are available. The fee structure is complex as we see a lot of unnecessary inputs added like vice chancellor fee, alumni fee etc.

Campus Life

Great campus with a lot of exposure options. 4 canteens amd innumerable student hangout space. The college encourages sports with free court bookings available throughout and open track and court to practice

Admission

I only got the subject Psychology in this college hence had to accept admission here. Eligibility of min 60% in board exam is needed. It is a pretty simple procedure to attain admission here without hassle

Faculty

Faculty number is good. There is one teacher for every subject taught. Faculty-student relationship is also good and friendly. The teachers are all friendly with a helpful nature. Overall good experience with the faculty

Interview Experience

Night Life

Nightlife is peaceful. Places to walk, sit, chil and relax is plenty. There is no limit on how long you can stay in campus. No barriers on any free enjoyment activities as long as it does not violate rules

Just a small review from my side.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course. It helped me in my personality building and also I learned new things like- Video and photo editing, handling cameras, communication skills, Acting, Advertisement writing and shooting, and many more. Class strength is good as they allow 25-30 students for one course. Faculties were too supportive and masters of their own fields. They take 2 internals and 1 final exam at the end of the semester which is of 6 months.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I applied to KJ and Rizvi as well and got confirmation from Rizvi, but after comparing it with SK Somaiya in aspects such as sports and curriculam, SK Somaiya was the best fit for me. I did get rejected in KJ Somaiya because of my marks in 10th, KJ is known to have the highest cut-offs. The admission process is centralised and is done on the basis of merit and seat available. So basically I wanted to join somaiya Vidyavihar only it was a dream college for me and the process was like we have to apply or registered online on their portal then you all have to wait for the merit list if your name is there they then you will get a mail for the admission process where you will get an so my as mail id which is for educational purpose or any details or any information about the college or about the campus the svv net ID portal which will be provided in the mail from there you have to fill the form and you have to pay the fees online offline is not allowed like everything you have to pay online and after that when you will go to the college you have to collect your ID's before that you have to take appointment in that portal only in the ID Card section and then you will get an ID from the college campus...Read More
