Course Curriculum Overview
I think it is alright whatever their styles of teaching the various stuffs. It all depends on the students whether there are following their teachers their instructions seriously or not. And the course , yes it prepares for further academic pursuits.
Internships Opportunities
Wipro, cognizant, Xavier's TCS and many more MNCs are there to offer the intership opportunities for the students. I am not sure about what the projects there are as I am a 1st year 1st sem student right now. But I do hear that there are students who are have indulged in the intership from this college.
Placement Experience
After 6th or 7th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like cognizant, Wipro, TCS visited here and there are various offers made then. Many students were getting placements for an average of 700000. About 80% students got their placements from this college.
Fees and Financial Aid
For general, SC,ST, EWS category, it is 69500 per semester. But for TFW category, it is only 9000 per semester. Now at the time of Admission, for general, SC,ST,EWS category,it is 1,02,000 to pay that includes fees like admission fees(10000), library fees(6000),welfare and sports fees(4000), students development fees(2200),caution deposit (10000), admission kit(1000) For TWF it is 42,200 to pay at the time of admission. Now, university registration fee is 500(one time) And for each semester it is 1200 to pay to appear in the exams. For management quota, it is like 10 lakh extra only to get admission in the college. Scholarship like SVMCM is available for students that belong to West Bengal.
Campus Life
Unfortunately, for some reasons, there are no any annual or technical fests are being organised. Library offers a good number of books related to the curriculum of many other books also ..many journals are also available there in the library. Students can also find various clubs that are run by the senior students. So just approaching them, one can join the club and become a member of that club.
Admission
Actually here in this college, admissions are taken on the basis of results of WBJEE, or the results of Jee mains. And then comes for the management quota. Then I had very good marks in the Wbjee. And my rank was good enough to get admission in the CSE core in this college. And I prefer Heritage over any other colleges because of the things that this college was giving and others were not . Means the campus area is large, teachers are good, a good library, sports and games, and the fees it was charging from the students and also the most importantly placement take place here, various companies come here to recruite the students. So these tempted me to get in there and I got the admission in this very college.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is considerable. Means students can easily approach them and ask whatever they have problems. I liked the maths faculties. I want to name them like Sauvik Kundu sir, Sandeep chaterjee Sir, Also in physics faculties , I want to take the name of Arindam chakrabarty sir . All of them are expert in their fields ..they know their fields and so knowledgeable. On the other hand, I want to name Sabhyashachi Chaterjee sir whose writing was not good and the things he wrote on the board were unrecognisable. In the 1st sem, there are 4 labs exam and 4 theory papers. And all of them are not so hard. There are like average.
Night Life
Students who are living in the hostels are restricted to go out after 8 or 9 pm or I am not sure about it as I had not taken the hostel. But I would say that it is not safe to roam around at night time.
