Course Curriculum Overview

4

The relevance of out curriculum is a lot of relevance as it has more of practicality than just book knowledge and it teaches the students the real value of people in the real world and in the hospitality industry

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships are offered in the best properties of the world, out college gives us the option to choose between abroad and in India itself in India companies like Taj, Marriot, Mayfair, ACCOR group, ITC, Hyatt, etc) are some the few names that take interns from IIHM

Placement Experience

4

Our college does have campus placements, which take place in the third year. Various luxurious and well known hotels visit the campus and conduct campus interviews in which the student gets their own choice to choose between the various hotels for placement

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of International Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata which is also the global campus. The Total course fees is 6,51000. The yearly fees is 2,17000 and there is an additional feed for the course of university of west London 8,51000, which will is affiliated to the university of west london

Campus Life

5

The campus life of all the students is really socially active because our college has events and competitions organish frequently which allows maximun exposure for the students and keeps them interested and active in the college

Admission

I opted for IIHM because in the field of hospitality this college is one of the finest in the world and it has also better placement as compared with the other universities and institutions. The admissIon is very simple if you are a local in Kolkata you can visit the campus and if you are not a local you can apply through online registration facilities.

Faculty

5

As I have already mentioned in my review previously that all the faculty members have a lot of experience with hospitality and they themselves have worked for a remarkable time in the hospitality industry. There are 6 exams for the (MAKAUT) degree students and 1 for the (IGNOU) students. The exams are really not that difficult at all it just about practical learning and skills.

Night Life

5

There is not night life in the campus as the campus is closed at 6 pm but the area around the college is really happening and nice as it is in sector V the IT Hub of kolkata and there is always rush and everyone is busy in their own tasks

Other Applied Colleges

Chandigarh University - [CU] | Bachelor of Computer Applications [BCA]

I changed my mind last minute and opted for hotel management

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

The curriculum for the Physical and Inorganic chemistry are upto the mark and I felt improvement in teaching style and curriculum is required for Organic Chemistry part. The difficulty of Internal examination can be improved a bit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
