Course Curriculum Overview

I want to be a biotechnologist so I choose this course and I want to further study in this subject. Very well the curriculum prepares me for real-world applications or further academic pursuits. More instrumental experiments and projects and educational excursion should be added in course curriculum. They follow UGC CBCS method and the exams are moderate in difficulty level

Placement Experience

5

There are a little placement campusing happened from TCS and others companies. They should give more interest in campusing from more different government and private companies. The passed out and final year students are eligible for the campus placements. Tata Consultancy Services, etc visited and 40 offers made. Highest package 45000 per month. 40% students who are eligible got placement. I want to do further higher studies after getting the degree.

There are merit based admission Process of their class 12 or equivalent examination score.

Faculty

5

Faculty members and teaching & non-teaching staffs are very kind person and very helpfull excepting controller of examination. There are 6 Semesters and each semester has 2 internal exams, so there are 6 semesters and 12 internals in 3 year Bachelors degree course. All of the students of our class were passed and no one failed to clear the exam.

Night Life

5

Free gym facilities are there. There is a Canteen for all students, staffs, teachers. Campus is much larger. And the locality is good but after 08:00 pm it is better not to go out. The college hostel gate is opened till 08:00 pm. Vidyasagar Udyan about 20 minutes from college, and many restaurants and caffes near the Railway stations. The locality is safe but it is better not to roam around at night after 08:00 pm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

The Physical Chemistry faculties are the best I got, that influenced me to carry forward my research carrier in Physical Chemistry. The curriculum for the Physical and Inorganic chemistry are upto the mark and I felt improvement in teaching style and curriculum is required for Organic Chemistry part. The difficulty of Internal examination can be improved a bit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
