Remarks :
Positive is everything is good and faculty members are friendly. Negative point is there are no good fest organised here in nits as compared to iits. And the thing is it bcoms difficult for the students who dont know english properly bcoz here faculty members are majority teach in english. So i think its a disadvantage.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Teachers are well trained and experienced not like other NITs i guess bcoz NITK is 3rd amongst all over india nits and 11th around compared to its. Teachers are friendly when needed and understandable with our works.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes.Bcoz m just completing my first year i din get any internship to do. But just in case i will tell u that dont b so excited that u r in nit now and you will b settled. Its nit how it happens,you need to work hard and show up ur talents wholly 360 degrees and you need to come up with new ideas and ur own technologies if u really want to b a engineer.
Placement Experience :
Yeah the students of NIT are well placed in top companies like amazon,IBM,Infosys,Hyundai,and till now the highest package salary has been 14 lakhs and more to come. Infosys and yeah MRPL have the ample no.of intrest in hiring students from nitk. Becoz MRPL is situated in mangalore and NITK is famous for chemical engineering. MRPL is the leading petroleum operator after reliance and Barath petroleum. And yeah huge no of students are selected from NITK and hired for many no.of jobs.
College Events :
There are many college events. Students r taken care of both curriculum and co curriculum activities with many fests year by year. Freshers r more enjoying as they have ample no of opeertunities here and more than studying here we feel more enjoyed in our other activities.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure has been slightly Tiger this year bcoz of new equipments which have been set up. So average i could say now its around 1 lakh guys. Yeah first it was 75k of 1 year but now bcoz new equipments have been installed so fees have been increased bcoz of their maintenance. Trust me guys the equipments r new and is maintained every weak.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No such scholarships. There are no such scholarships as i know bcoz m just a fresher and i need to know more abt it. Everything happens here through JEE MAINS AND ADVANCED.If u think u will get scholarships then i think outsiders provide them so.
Campus Life :
Its well maintained here You got a swimming pool and its good and well maintained. There are basketball courts and one football ground with grass and there are many courts to enjoy ur college life.About labs i can tell u as i told before also they r well equipped and well advanced.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is good and well maintained but honestly its small.i dont live in hostel so i dint know much about ut but yeah water comes 24 hrs and u dont have hot water there in hostel. U get Fud time to time and there are canteens where if u feel more hungry you can eat. Basically everything is taken care there.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yeah they are helpfull. Seniors make us understand what they have been through till their journey in this college and till now we have got positive results and everything positive about NITK. Some say that it feel like a bit homy than other colleges bcoz here u have a private beach to enjoy and high in security is available.
Exam Structure :
Exam structure as you all know its JEE MAINS. I dont have to explain much but yeah just give u a small information. This exam consist of three subjects physics chemistry and maths equally distributed with 120 marks each totalling 360 marks. And you have to get more than 100 if u want to get a average nit and yeah if u want to give JEE ADVANCED THEN DEFINATELY U NEED TO GET MORE THAN 120. The exam happens for 3hrs and its now conducted by NTA and its completely online now.
Admission :
I gave my JEE MAINS in 2018 and secured a marks of 120 then the thing was i could not get into this college bcoz i had a very low cutoff as that institute needed which was above 180. So i gave myJEE advanced and my rank just came under 7000 and i finally got my college in my native itself.
Faculty :
Faculty is wonderfull and fully experienced teachers and best in environment They are quit ambitious in getting full child's attention and trust me it good. And students also cooperate with teachers really well and its Onn.
