Remarks :

The college has a good brand value. The reach of the college throughout the country is also good. There are two campuses: one in Mumbai and one in Bangalore. The ROI is fair for fresher's and those with a working experience.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am undergoing the post graduate diploma in management in the business design course of Welingkar institute of Management development and research. It is a course that is more practical than theoretical. Diverse range of projects and internships are a major part of the course.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes. The college provide full time internship. The students are also free to secure an internship on their own of they can. However, the internship placements are quite decent across sectors. The internship stipend can go up to 50,000 per month.

Placement Experience :

The placement opportunities are fair. Both, for fresher's and for people with work experience. Apart from students from PGDM Core, students from business design, e business, retail, healthcare secure themselves good placements in their chosen sectors. The placement season begins from September and lasts till around April or beyond.

College Events :

Welingkar Institute of Management development and research has an annual Cricket tournament organized by the college and various other colleges participate in the event. Apart from Cricket, traditional day, fresher's party and farewell are celebrated with huge enthusiasm.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is decent as compared to the brand value of the college. The tuition fee is 11 lacs, exclusive of the accommodation and other expenses. A provision for quarterly installments is available.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I have availed a student loan. At 11 % also many other choices are available. The fee for MMS is around 6lacs. And that for PGDM is 11lacs. Exclusive of the other expenses like accommodation and food.

Campus Life :

The college has its own innovation labs. The college has a 3D printer, available to students to learn and use. There is a gym, and a play room. Pool, carrom and chess are played by students in their free time.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facilities are pretty decent. Hostel are available to girls and boys. Both are in decent proximity to the college. AC and non AC rooms are available as per individual preferences. Fridge, almira, racks, induction are provided.

Alumni/Alumna :

An alumni committee from each course is very active. Alumni meets are held yearly. Many seminars and lectures are conducted to bridge the gap between the students and the alum. Alumni also help in securing good placements.

Exam Structure :

Welingkar institute of Management development and research follows a trimester pattern for conducting exams. Equal weightage is given to theory papers and the projects and presentations. The entire course has 6 trimesters.

Admission :

I took various exams. Some of them being CAT, CMAT, MHCET. My scores in all the exams were decent to get me a place for the further process of getting into top colleges of Maharashtra. My score of CMAT called for a interview call at Welingkar institute of Management development and research

Faculty :

The facilities at Welingkar Institute of Management development and research is highly senior in their experience, be it in the industry or teaching background. Their contacts with the industry personalities is at par and are very helpful in helping the students.

Every student studying at NITIE is placed in a decent company with a decent package. The placement committee works relentlessly to bring the best companies. The college is famous for operations and supply chain but there are plenty of roles in IT as well.
