Remarks :
I have applied to only WeSchool through the CMAT exam and I have attended the process. I belong to the general category and have not availed any quota for admission. The admission criteria to apply for Mumbai Campus was to have at least 50% marks in the graduation and 80+ percentile in CMAT Exam. The admission process starts by filling up of application form. This form is very detailed, it captures all the details right from 10th, 12th, Graduation, your hobbies, achievements, certifications, Books you have read, to your understanding of the industry trends. If you met the eligibility criteria, you will get the shortlist for the interview. Fortunately, it was an offline GD/PI process for me. The started by registering yourself at the college auditorium entrance. Then after the briefing session, we were being routed to the respective rooms for GD and then for PI.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I had prior work experience of 3 years in IT product-based firms for building ERP and E-commerce platforms and considering this I find that the Business Design program will help me to uplift my career. It is a general management program that has Design Thinking at its core. If I talk about business design the Faculty: Student ratio is about 10:60. All the faculties are very much experienced and qualified almost 80% are Ph.D. holders. Almost everyone holds industry experience and the experience helped us to understand the industry applications for the concepts very well. Talking about exams, we have a trimester pattern. That means you have an end-semester exam after every 4 months. And if you have paid attention in classes, scored well in internal assessment tests, and have done justice to your projects then passing the exam won't be difficult.
Internships Opportunities :
There are n number of opportunities for internships. Roles offered to vary from company to company. Like banks come for finance and sales-related roles. IT firms come for ERP, Business Analyst, Business Development, or research roles. Media companies come for account management, content management, IMC related roles. The First 50% of students get an average stipend of around 20000-25000 per month. Projects vary from company to company.
Placement Experience :
Companies started visiting the campus in September for the Summer internship (for first-year students) and final placement. Around 100+ companies visited for the final placement. The highest domestic placement for the batch was 19.75 LPA offered by Amazon. Few Major recruiters include Nestle, GEP, Welspun, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, Accenture, Deloitte, EY, TCS, Oracle, Adobe, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, and many more. 100% of students get the placement. I believe I will get a good placement in an IT or consulting firm and will move forward with my career there.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For us i.e. 202-22 batch the fees were fixed and there was no fees hike. For few students who had lost an earning member in the family due to covid were considered for a fee waiver. Also, College has tie-ups with few banks and that makes it easier to get education loans if required.
Campus Life :
Since I belong to the 2020-22 batch, so far I haven't got a chance to visit our college. However, we got access to the e-library that have a lot of paid subscription, access to uncountable books and research paper. The infrastructure was good. (So far I have only visited once at the time of the GDPI process).
Interview Experience :
I faced Group discussion and Interviews. 10 students were there in 1 GD. The topic was, "$5 Trillion economy, a myth or reality". The score criteria for admission in 2020 was CAT: 70+ percentile CMAT: 80+ percentile. and you will be finally shortlisted based on your profile i.e. your 10th, 12th, graduation score, work experience, GD/PI performance. I prepared for the topics based on current affairs, which majorly include all the happenings in India in the last 1 year and last 6 months in the world. For the interview.
