Remarks :
It is one the most amazing colleges in India. Campus is very good, greenery everywhere. Location of institute is near ganga river, just 1 km away from campus. there is health centre facility and BHU hospital. I have one regret, i.e hostel and mess facility. Institute management should pay more attention on infrastructure and better facility as per IITs standard.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Exam structure of every semester is that you have to appear for two class test and one final test. The class test is of 20 marks each and final has got weight age of 60 marks. 40 percent is pass mark in total. there is no gaps between two exam. for CT it will end in 3 days and final exam will end in 5 days. So you have hectic schedule during exam. Labs are conducted in second half of day. It may be either everyday or one or two day depending on course and subject. For general subject classes schedule is not very hectic or back to back. Overall It has good schedules.
College Events :
Fests are very good. Other institutes like medical, commerce and arts are also present on the same campus. The campus is huge. Clubs and council activities conducted are good. There are three main fests in our college, Kashiyatra, Technex and Spardha. All the fests are held at very high level. Participation from many IITs, NITs and other different colleges from many parts of India make our fests super big and exciting.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The lowest possible fees in India till date. Tutios fee- 10000 hostel fee - 60 library fee- 20 tranings and extracurricular-200lumpsum-1000-2000total-13000 per sem Fee Payable Each Semester - 50,950 (5,650)Total Fees Payable at the time of Admission (first year first semester) -?65700 (?20400) Mess deposit - 12,000 Fees Payable by SC/ST students, where different from those payable by others, are shown in parentheses.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
MCM ( Merit Cum Means) and many other scholarships under state and central government and also other private and non government oraganisations providing scholarships for OBC, SC/STs.Loans were offered as soon as i joined the college, but i didn't took any. Merit scholarships were also given for branch toppers.
Hostel Facilities :
As this college is more than 100 years old, its infrastructure is like in an old temple. The buildings are old, but the feeling of living in these old buildings is great. It has become IIT a few years ago, so the infrastructure is being developed. Labs are good. Grounds are good. Overall, the infrastructure is good and is getting better.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni network is very good. there is special web portal for interacting with alumni. Many alumni used to visit campus and share their experiences in industry. The Institute organises the alumni meet time to time. Students here interact with them and gain the glimpse of corporate and business life. There is a platform also made by one of our alumni to connect with our alumni all over the world and discuss there experience.
Admission :
For all B.Tech programs- JEE Advanced All the IIT aspirants have to sit for JEE Main and afterwards, JEE Advanced. Only the top 150,000 scores in JEE Main will become eligible to sit for JEE advanced. B.Tech admission at IIT BHU is done through online counseling. Counseling organized by the college is held for those candidates who are shortlisted through the screening process on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in JEE. After the allotment of seat candidates need to submit the requisite fee and required documents for verification.
Faculty :
Faculty members are not good. Some teachers are good, but the maximum of them are bad. Students have to study the course from books and other sources on their own. The course curriculum is not difficult. It can be managed with other activities. Faculty members are bad, but the course curriculum is good.
