Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is standard and reliable as prescribed by veterinary council of India this course is very intersting with practical approach There are 3 internals which are from the content taught and best of 2 is selected for finals 1 external theory exam and 1 practical final exam

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure includes tution fee of about 45 to 50 k plus tour fee magzine fee and hostel fee nd mess fee of 40k leading to total of 1 lakh rs Scholarships through nsp and merit are available ,overall fee is affordable

Annual festival by each college and university level each college has its own annual fun fair during April may vet weeks agri week cultural and literary competition most important kisan mela twice a year Each college has ita own society and some universities level society

Hostel Facilities

Initially rooms are 3 seater in first year than you get 2 seater room rooms are provided with bed chair table and a almirah Hostel mess food is fine with parathas in the morning with chai bread jam eggs and lunch and dinner include rice dal sabji salad panner chicken Registration site is similar to that for semister

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

Admission is through entrance exam conducted by the university Vci councelling through neet Jand k student Eligibilty is 10+2 Cutoff is quite. High for veterinary You must rank within top 100 for the admission

Faculty

3 4 professor for each subject for a batch of 60 student and each student is given personal attention whenever needed each unit is allotted with the professor who is master of it Exam are difficult but all students pass the exam 2 3 student may give compartment

Night Life

There is no night life because for girls they have entry timing of 6 pm in winter and 7 in summer but boys can have night life with entry time of 10 30 pm for especial ocassion students can get extension from hostels

Hostel & college life together in Pantnagar

It offers multiple opportunities and a great profession to persue. If one has inclination towards animals and doest compare it with mbbs or other degrees. It is a different profession requiring different mindsets. One can be a veterinary officer of grade one or grade two according to state government.

UG AT VETERINARY COLLEGE GBPUAT

Placement Experience:

There are plenty ot government and private jobs in veterinary sector if a person is having good knowledge of the subject he can have upto 8 to 10 LPA of income package after completing of ug and after few years of experience the income may raise to 15 to 17 LPA . There is no dedicated placement cell in the college for veterinarians but different state govt , army , paramilitary forces, different central and state govt conduct inductions for permanent employment of veterinarians . Employment is almost guaranteed after completion of this degree .

I choose this college as i wanted to pursue something in the field of medical / veterinary science . I always wanted to save lives of animals/people and was quite fascinated by how organisms function and how animals survive. I found biology very interesting during my school time so I prepared for pre medical examination and got admission in this college by giving entrance exam of the state university i had a very meritorious rank which lead my admission to this course . I applied for agriculture college and was confirmed admission, but I was more inclined towards animal biology than plant . I tried for a medical College too , but my score didn't permit me to score a seat there. The admission process is through a pen and paper mode exam ( objective type ) containing questions from physics , chemistry, biology, general studies, aptitude and reasoning . Some students can also apply via the counselling conducted by the VCI on the basis of their NEET score . The eligibility criteria is 1. You must have at least 45% marks in the relevant subject in Class 12. 2. For Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, you must be between 17 and 25 years old. 3.
