Course Curriculum Overview

3

This curriculum is related to Nutrition and health which is my passion beacuse I am acquiring knowledge for this since I was in 12th.I help my family members and anyone who seek advice related to health issues so in real world this curriculum helping me a lot to make the diet plan as per patient needs. I would suggest If the Course Curriculum can add up the practical class after the theory class, which will be more helpful for the students also If they Include Proper Internship and placement after the course completion then every students of this nutrition field encourage them to grow in this field and help in clinical field as after completion of it most of the students moved for PHD rather than choosing the clinical work. Regarding the exams,Terminal test has no issue but for the Mid-sem we did not get enough time for the preparation because of lack of time after the class so it can be change. Dietician and nutritionist role is a huge responsibility after doctor who plays a precious role to heal the patient so they can Include Opportunites for the students to select their conveneint place for the Internship at hospital.

Fees and Financial Aid

Allahabad university is a central university so my course fee was yearly 2000/-(registration fee) and no scholarship facility was there. This fee is same for every category as well as for my batchmates.

Campus Life

4

During my study time, many health related organizations used to come and conduct the programmes.Once we came in interaction with different types of food products recipes and how to preserve them.We had gathering of all department and quiz orgazined related to our curriculm which was so interesting. The food laboratory programmes helped me a lot to understand that we can preserve many food products like jam, sauce etc and how to prepare it by fruits which was Interesting. On annual basis,we had one huge gathering with many Researchers, doctors and professors who shared their learnings, their research study and conclusion during this programmes. Many doctors shared their experience to diagnosing various health issue which proved helpful for me.Extracurricular activity was there like If someone is Interested to join NCC and sports they can join, learn as well as earn the certificate. There were proper Library and Teachers always helped in advising the correct book for each semester,so we always opt for the specific book and read thoroughly.Books were also in enough quantity so that everyone can opt. And submit it to the library as per the rule otherwise 2rupees fine is applicable once the submission date expired.

Admission

I applied for Allahabad university only as one of my senior told me this college is good reagrding Internship and job placement.I opted for Entrance exam and fortunately after the Admission counselling I selected. The selection process was on merit based on category wise so in third list I got the selection as my marks was 278 in OBC category.I applied for this college online with 500/- application fee and there were option to choose the centre nearby state so I had chosen Patna where the exam was conducting via system online with proper camera on.The cutoffs were zero but the selection process was highest marks got in the entrance exam in category wise.Overall selection process was good,no problems faced by me and smoothly I took the admission, fees also during the admission time taken offline with required documents.

Faculty

Faculty members were also helpful without any hesitation I can say. There were no one whom I disliked to be honest everyone helped me at my time.Anyone can approach them whenever in need. Exams were conducting on the semester basis like in a semester, fistly we had our Terminal test after completion of 1-3chapters then we had our Mid-sem exam after two and half months of completing the course then we had our Final exam of the semester.Rarely 2-3 students failed in each exam. Questions were always for the cirriculum completed,it was so easy for those who had attentively attened the class on regular basis.Teachers always helped us during the class to mark the Important lines and questions which could have asked in the upcoming exams. So overall I would say the teaching facility and Teachers were Ossom.I am grateful.

Night Life

After class we had cafeteria of famous MBA chai wala, for relaxing our mind there was a big part to relax our mind.Triveni Sangam one of the amazing place to sit there for a longer time for peace of mind. There were no hostel provided to me,so I was staying in a hostel where facility was good for a girl. Famous hangout places outside the college were Company garden,Triveni sangam,Anand bhawan, katra road and v2 mall etc. Safe place to roam at night is comany garden,Anand bhawan,Bade hanuman mandir etc. My hostel close tming was 10pm which was nearby Katra stablshed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Msc.Biotechnology is a good course. The laboratory aspect has pushed me a bit to make the decision. Curriculum makes us academically good but not good for real world. College laboratory needs improvement in terms of installation of proper laboratory equipments. Teaching skills & class control methods needs improvement. Teaching should be made more industry based and practical based. Exam pattern is good, not very easy to pass, have to work hard to get good marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to study psychology in clinical setting in future. I am interested in therapies and diagnosis but currently I'm focusing on counselling. There were 6 sections of masters in psychology with a ratio of 60 students each class. The faculty was NET qualified and some were doing their PHD along with teaching. The teaching methods was nice as we had access to technology as well like projectors. The material provided to us was really good for our future reference. Exams were held every six months and the difficulty level of exams were moderate.
