Dislikes

Boys to girls ratio is really disgusting.. Like literally there are only 20 girls in our batch of 120 students.
The campus is relatively smaller than my home town iitb
The canteen of the college offers a very limited menu of food.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are midsems and endsems in a semester once. Two exams in a semester. Which is okay. The curriculum covers each and every necessary aspect of engineering required in my field so it is not that bad.

Fees and Financial Aid

Visvesvaraya national Institute of technology nagpur is a tier 1 nit and being a national Institute it's fees are very nominal for btech. Per semester, it's around 67750 rupees as the tuition fees for general students. For obc and ews it's only 1/3rd pf this and for sc , st it's completely free. It includes a caution fee at the start of course. There are a lot of merit based scholar ships available in this Institute.

Campus Life

Aarohi is the biggest cultural fest in central india held in october. Department gathering in october and institute gathering in march .There's a good and big enough library in the campus. World class level sports infrastructure is present along with central India's biggest gym for boys exclusively. Every class is having a digital presentation system. And the college is quite famous for it's clubs like hallabol, octaves, and prayas club.

Admission

I got admission here in vnit on the basisof jee mains marks and the admission process is exclusively through this exam only. I chose this college as this was in my native state Maharashtra and the only nit in a good city like nagpur.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is good and a lot of faculties are easy to approach. My favorite faculty was sir arnab acharya who was my physics professor in first semester as he was always chill in each and every aspect and never cared of any disciplinary acts and etc... The most rude was are maths professor neha hotwani maam . The exams are quite moderate and you can pass them easily by studying one night before the exam to get a decent 7 cgpa.

Night Life

There is one gym for boys. One common cafeteria and night canteen in hostels of first year which opens at night as they have intime. The intime is 9pm for both girls and boys. And the campus intime is 10:30 pm but there's only intime for boys from second year. However there's an intime of 10:30 pm for girls. Bajaj nagar is the most happening hangout place for students at evening and nighouts. Y point in the campus is also famous for it's couple spotting speciality.

Placement Experience:

The Placement are good but not as per we expect. In our collegeb there is placement with low package and is not satisficable. They Offer only 5 to & LPA Packages. So the students who has so many skills are not satisfy by that. In Our College, 8th semester students become eligible for campus placement. The Companies which hire the students from our college are TCS,Capgemini,Bajaj, Tata motors, Infosys and so on. The highest package is 17 LPA which was given to only one student and average package is 7 LPA. There are only 40 to 50% stbudents placed every year. My Plan After getting the degree is to do Masters(M.Tech) By Giving The GATE Exam.

Remarks:

This college is very nearer to akurdi railway station so students can do up down. And no disturbance around the college. But the ID card is compulsory in college please note this. No trouble of proper people or native people.

My Experience at VNIT Nagpur

I had Applied to Vit pune and I am getting Ai and DS there but my dream was to get an NIT so I dropped my decision and can to VNIT. I did not get any rejection from there I just rejected that college over NIT. VNIT-the guide

I applied for others colleges that accepted admission through the state entrance cell. I was getting admission there on my previous exam basis and also MHT CET exam result. I chose VNIT as it was near my home and also it was more premier institute than the colleges of MHT CET I was not rejected from the other colleges that o applied for only my rank was not sufficient to get admission in their courses.
