Remarks :

This college is an excellent choice for engineering students. Curricular and extra curricular activities are well supported. It is located nearly to the highway. Finally it gives you a memorable college life.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is great. There is semester exam at the end of each semester. 2 internal exams for each semester. Assignments, seminars, projects etc are there during the course. U.G. course is B.Tech and is for four years

Placement Experience :

Various companies comes to college every year for picking students through placement. There is a placement cell in the college for the smooth conduction of placement and to help the students. Placement ratio is very high

College Events :

There is a techno cultural managerial fest conducted in every 3 year in the college. Arts and sports are conducted every year. Onam Christmas etc. are also celebrated. Every batch conducts batch day. And on the day of union inauguration there is union day

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Since it is an government engineering college fee structure is feasible. Almost 12000 has to be paid during admission and about 9000 for remaining 3 years for general students. Fee concession are there for some categories

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are various scholarship available for various categories. E grants scholarship is available for student from families having low income. And scholarship is given for scheduled caste and scheduled tribes

Campus Life :

Extra curricular activities like arts sports are there in the college. Annual sports and arts there. There is college team for games like cricket, football, handball, volleyball, chess etc. Computer labs are there with high speed internet

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel infrastructure is nice. Wi-Fi is there. Fitness center is there. Have playground for football, volleyball, cricket. etc. Good food are provided by hostel. Non vegetarian food are given four or five days per week

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Always great support from alumni and seniors. Whenever there is programme alumni sponsor some amount. There is annual alumni programme on every Independence day on which alumnies come and share there experience with students and have fun

Admission :

Appear for KEAM engineering entrance. Further allotment process are there for the admission. If you get good rank in the entrance exam you will get admission to get good rank you should have good score in entrance exam as well as in 12th

Faculty :

Faculties of Government college of engineering Kannur are well qualified ones. Faculties are friendly with students. They takes classes very well. They support students in extra curricular activities too.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
