Diploma in Pharmacy

After the completion of the diploma course we can enter into the second year of The Bachelors in Pharmacy via the lateral entry. After that one can pursue Masters in Pharmacology or do an MBA and get into any Pharmaceutical Industry. Practical exams are conducted for all subjects except for Law and ethics and is carried out in the college laboratory for two years.

The course is composed of compulsory internship which is of 6 months which gives training in all areas of pharmacology.No stipend is provided during internship.Total of 20 leaves are allowed during internship If we take extra leave it will cost an extension of 3 days for one leave.

Diploma in Pharmacy is a course comprised of two years,and 6 months of compulsory internship. Fee structure is on annual mode. Fee of First year is 5940 Second year is 5940. Candidates whose parents are not government employees are eligible for E Grant scholarship by which the fee paid will get refunded.

Campus Life is said to be gorgeous in one word. Arts,Literature and Sports meets are arranged every year by the college and is conducted very well.The winners of the same in the college level is taken to the North Zone. The college owns a Students Union which coordinates all the extracurricular activities of the college and takes care of the students right. College consists of Lecture halls, Department Library,Reading Rooms and Laboratory facilities inside the campus.

Rooms are spacious and single room is alloted for four students.Hostel has facilities like free wifi, Television,Washing Machine, Refrigerator,Games. Free Gym inside the campus which is open to all staff and students.

Better laboratory facility and Qualified faculties are the trademark of calicut Medical College. Alumnis of this college have published many research papers and thesis projects on various subspecialties of Pharmacy which we will get exposed to in our academics which will reflect in our career prospectus.

Faculties are well qualified and has in depth knowledge about the respective subjects. Exam mode is paper based and conducted on yearly basis. First year has 5 subjects. Pharmacognocy,Human Anatomy and Physiology,Pharmaceutics,Pharmaceutical Chemistry,Social Pharmacy. Second year Year has 6 subjects. Law and Ethics, Pharmacology,Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy, Biochemistry,Community Pharmacy Management,Pharmacotherapeutics

College provides hostel facility for students who needs residential support. Rent for the same is 7000 per year and is refunded back for students from SC/ST category. Hostel is provided with mess with a good menu and a decent pay which is billed monthly .
