pec ece 1st year review

the new machines and techniques used in academics and practical work . this curriculum prepares in a very practical way such that one could perform task without any hesitation. exams come after every 2 weeks, could be viva, quiz, out semester exams.

internship also happens before the placements process. actually i don't have enough information on this internship process but I have heard some senior getting their intership and making their way good for their future.

campus placements are awesome, i have heard from many seniors about them getting nice placements at good companies. many companies like Microsoft, Google, phone pe and other good companies visited and placed many scholars. in last placements process 82 out of 119 students got placed

1st year academic fee was ?1,13,000, including one time payments and security payments. then the scholarships of sc st category begins after 1st semester which contains half ship fee for rest of semesters. there are also scholarships based on academic performance like, jee mains score and semester cgpa rankings etc.

at starting of 1st year, you are introduced to all clubs then one must join any of these clubs can be any of social or technical club. also in 3 months of admission, there's fest called PECFEST, this year it lasted till 3 days, including 2 star nights. it is lots of fun and madness. sports activities also perform excellent in inter College compititions.

the hostel is quite old for the college students, honestly, it needs renovation. it includes a table, chair, closet, and 2 single wooden beds. most of them rooms are small for 2 guys to live in. the hostel meals are okay and sometimes good to eat, also changes after summer and winter seasons. registration for hostel begins on the day of physical reporting after josaa councelling, hostel fee is kind of high than to expect comparing the conditions provided

i didn't actually apply for other colleges, i got this college from josaa councelling sessions and the 5th round of this councelling had resulted in electronics and communication engineering till it was electrical engineering in 4th round

there are atleast 4 to 7 professors and assistent professors available at each department to teach, and for lab hours, Sandeep sir of maths is a very nice man and doesn't get angry on students, much better for 1st year students. there are 2 exams in 1 semester and some quizzes, vivas, lab practicals. the difficulty of these exams are tough, getting average of 40-50% of total marks

the gym is kind of old and sometimes is too crowded. but has all machines except leg extension and Smith machine. there's cafeteria near the academic block, open for a long time in a day. library also has ac and non ac halls, reading halls, lots of books, and quiet environment. the public area closed 5 30pm. but the boys hostel closed around 10pm and girls hostel closed around 9 pm. usually the most commonly visited placed at night in Chandigarh in sector 15 or 17, as it's near from the college.
