Above average college with small campus area

If you have avg marks, this is a good college for you. Crowd is good. Infrastructure is excellent. The quality of faculties is bad but that's the same scenario with all colleges of engineering except for the top colleges.

The course curriculum is decided by the Mumbai University hence a standard practice across all colleges. There are 8 semesters, each have 4 to 6 subjects, each having end sem theory exam, practical exam, viva and 2 internal exams.

Placements are pretty good with the maximum ranging to 35lpa given by Works Applications Japan and minimum going to 2lpa and average is about 3lpa. Mass recruitment is done by Infosys and Accenture. Internship is not arranged by college but opportunities are highlighted. All the internships are unpaid.

Zephyr is the technical event of the college which is 3 days event open to all. Sojourn is the cultural event which is 2 day event for internal students only. Inertia is internal sports fest for students and faculties.

The fees is also regulated by govt hence quite standard across colleges. If you are from EBC you can get 50% grant or you can apply in TFWS for entire tution fee waiver. It's expensive though for others at about 1.3 lakh per year.

Tata scholarship comes to the college and gives to top 10 students only. EBC, ie, economically backward class people can avail 50% scholarship. All these waivers are fixed every year. Also if you have financial problems you can get in touch with the trust of the college and they can also help you out. One of my friend got a scholarship this way.

There is a full size ground adjacent to the college with all facilities. The labs are well equipped with latest equipments. The entire college is covered under massive amounts of cctvs. Literally every corner has it. There are cultural fests organized and various other small events also. Since campus is shared with other colleges of Thakur, all fests from all colleges can be enjoyed.

Not opted myself but had friends from hostel. Only boys hostel is there no girls hostel. Faculties are just average. Hostel is about 20 minutes walking from college campus. Each floor has 4 houses, each with 2 rooms, each with 2 or 3 students. The fee is approx 28k for 1 year.

The college is in the process of building a strong alumni network. Right now every year alumni meets are organized but it's just like a function, not much useful. But progressively college is working towards it.

The faculties are quite experienced but lack the updated knowledge of technologies. For curriculum teaching, faculties are good, but for industry ready guidance, they are bad. There are a number of PhD professors in the department, however, even that doesn't affect the quality of their knowledge in the latest technology trends.
