- The teachers are well educated and versed about their respective domains and topics
- The labs are well maintained and the have upto date softwares installed as per the industry standards.
Dislikes
- The campus is very small. There is almost no places to go around.
- The canteen doesnt have a lot of options to eat from. There are no healthy meals. However the meals are clean.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is good and well described. The syllabus of each subject is well detailed the syllabus teaches the subject in detail. The syllabus is prescribed by the university as of now, and there are a lot of languages that are being taught in the BCA department, but a student has to focus only on specific languages and one domain and focus on that domain only to to succeed in that domain. The area for improvements are some of the subjects are not useful for the students. For example, the mandatory subjects like accountancy don't help much for BCA students. The exams are conducted after five months of the semester start. The internal exams are held after half of the syllabus is complete and half of the unit come in the internal exam, whereas in the external exam, the full syllabus comes.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for each year is 126000 approx. in the first year 5000 is taken as a security deposit. The security deposit is given back to the student after he graduates. It will be deducted however incase a student causes any destruction of the college property. There is no scholarship given on the basis of merit or any other criteria. The fees is the same for each and every student studying in the BCA department of the college. All the batchmates are paying the same amount no matter if they are general or sc/st or obc. The fees is actually farely priced if compared to the other colleges offering BCA. There is no hostel fees as there is no hostel facility from the college.
Campus Life :
The club culture on this college is extremely back. There are a lot of clothes like the photography club, dance club, acting club, as well as the IT club. There is also an NSS cell that focuses on serving the other people. Joining a club in this college is extremely good as it can also help the people with attendance to cope with it. There is a little bit of sports in this college but however, there is no place to practise as the campus is not so big andstudents who are wanting to focus on sports should not get an admission in this college as there is no ground or indoor sports area to practice.
Admission :
Choose this college because of its affordability where and its name the college is highly reputed among IP University colleges. When I was taking admission in the college, I already already heard good things about Jims Vasant Kunj, so that's why it was a extremely good option to choose. The college is also extremely affordable as it offers. BCA in one of the prime locations of New Delhi. The fees per semester is comparatively very low as compare to other colleges. Had not get a rejection from other college, but I still show this college because of its name and reputation. The admission process is that you have to apply for the IP universities exam and then give the exam. if you get a good enough frank, then you can get an admission in this college
Faculty :
The faculty is extremely good in their subjects The faculty to student ratio is also good. There are a lot of new faculty joining the college as the old ones have left. Some of the faculty is good. Some of them are not good. The good ones are Dr Deepak Sharma who teaches DSA and C language. Another good faculty, Dr Preeti Gupta, who teaches computer organisation and architecture, as well as cloud computing. These are both the faculties that I like. There are two exams conducted per year. One of them is an internal and another is the external. The internal is conducted by the college and the externals are conducted by the University. Exam syllabus, and square in the syllabus is given well in advance
Night Life :
The college is located in Vasant Kunj nearby. There is Vasant Vihar, which is a huge spot for college hangouts. There is no night life as all the classes are finished before night. However, if the students are wanting to hang out around or they can head to Vasant Vihar, there are a lot of cafes and places to eat like Domino's Pizza and other big cafes like red Vasant Vihar and blue tokai Coffee roasters. There is also ambience mall and DLF Promenade near the college, which are two of the biggest malls in New Delhi. Students can head over thereafter college to hang out with the friends.
