- Incredibly accessable even if u don't visit college as a normal student se can still graduate through distant learning .
- Minimum requirement to join college is very low making it very much accessible to everyone without worring about cutoff during admissions.
Dislikes
- In distant learning courses the books are delivered after 4 month min which is too much
- Although Campus is huge but with so many students it still feels like a busy market
Course Curriculum Overview :
Main thing which made me decide to choose bca from this college was because of easy accessable admission and im personally interested in computer science and this college was best for that thing. The education topics are well updated not something which is useless to learn everything which is utile is being taught here. Although no matter how good a thing is there is always a room for improvement, there are some topics which were important before but now they are no more usefull but we still have to learn them which isn't a good thing so it should be removed removing new topic is as removing outdated ones. Frequency of exams is just right twice a year with atleast 5 months of gap between each one , providing enough time to prepare for them and difficulty level should not be that hard If u have prepared for it .
Internships Opportunities :
Although i just admitted into the college but I know a little bit about companies which provide internship opportunities to our students some of them are Amazon , zivo ,Flipkart, google and meta . Last year highest package was offered to our student was from Google with 80lakh annum so it seems like a good university for internship opportunities.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I had payed registeration fees of 8000? and will have to pay 8000? per semester which is twice a year other charges aren't compulsory and I don't know much about other courses but applying to bca was pretty much easy considered to other colleges application can be filled by anyone with a cellphone , all the batch mates of me have exactly same amount of fees to pay as mentioned ie. 24000? annually. If you have good marks in your 10th and 12th class you might as well have a chance to avail the scholarship and some financial aids like less fees then others overall applying process was very easy .other than these charges there are no other charges .
Campus Life :
There are alot of festivals and functions thet keep going in our university there is a science fest which Is organised every year in the month of August , certian festival functions are also arranged during Diwali and also on 21 June world yoga day is also celebrated. Our library is a huge collection of uncountable books , majority of books are in good condition but there are still quite a lot of books which are almost torn into different pages . But collection is indeed amazing u can find almost any book u want wether it is related to artificial intelligence or about ancient history they have every thing there . Classrooms are well maintained and they are equipped with multiple fans and a smartboard with normal board so we can learn from any presentation and also from school methods by writting on the board. There are also many sports clubs and activities which u can participate in if u are interested in sports , our university team goes multiple times a years to participate in state and national level tournaments of basket ball , volleyball, badminton, kabbadi,kho-kho,chess and many other games . Their is a student help portal which provides any assistance important at any time .
Admission :
I applied to many colleges previous year but because of my 12th percentage being a little lower I was unable to qualify for mostly of the colleges .I applied to lp University, HPU,Punjab University and Delhi University but only got eligiblity for Punjab University but I gave up because of expenses admission fees was near about 1lakh annum and expenses to live in Chandigarh was also quite a lot so I refused to take addmission there. Our college has very simple admission process which can be completed online as well as offline by visiting the university , required documents are aadhar card , 10th and 12th marksheet and 8000? registration fees and u can get admission in the college
Faculty :
Considering faculty to student ratio it's not less than 200 students/ 1 faculty. Mostly of them are very well behaved and very helpfull but as expected there are always some stains left on a clean sheet , there are indeed one or two staff who are really arrogant and students unless important try to stay away from them because of their nature and behaviour. My favourite faculty is suresh sir he is amazing person always willing to help and I personally like his teaching method which is very simple but detailed. And there is a faculty named akhil verma he is very bad for such a college he deliberately try to humiliate students during his classes which is a bad thing cause it is like bullying them
Interview Experience :
No there were no interviews or written test conducted for admission neither I ever heard of any interviews or examinations conducted for admission but there are indeed some examination if you are applying for scholarship.
Night Life :
I never stayed in our university during night but around campus it is pretty lively there are lot of tea stalls, momo stalls and vegetable vendors which are available till very late in night, there are also daily need shops and stationary shops around but it's not a place to visit as a hangout location.
