Remarks :

I just want to say one thing. Before going to this college please make sure that you don't have any other feasible option. Once you get the admission it is difficult to change your mind. So please go through the details which I have provided which may help you to reach to a better conclusion. Thjs review is just an attempt to save the career of atleast one student. Good Luck !!

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum of the course is entirely based on the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. Most part of the syllabus was same as that in the Mechanical Engineering course. An Exam is conducted at the end of every semester (6 months). Overall there are 8 semesters

Placement Experience :

Placement opportunities cannot be assures and may depend on the course one has opted for. But for streams such as Computer Science, Electronics & communication and Information technology there are more chances for the students to attend the placement programs

College Events :

The major events that take place are College Union Day, and Tech Fest which may or may not happen, based on the agenda of Management. But if any event has to happen, then the students need to come forward and take the initiative and don't expect even a small support from the Management or faculties.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

As I got admission in merit quota the fee structure for me was somewhat feasible. But if it's in Management quota then they will squeeze you completely to get what they want. It's good to not approach the college if one is not financially stable.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship is provided to only few students. That is purely based on the annual income of the students family and also based on some other factors which will be decided by the Management after playing all the politics that they want to. Loan can be easily availed, but not through the college. They are not going to help in those cases. Whatever you need , you have to get from outside.

Campus Life :

Lab is not extra curricular activity. It is a part of the course syllabus. Luckily there is not even a single chance of wasting your valuable time by playing any sports, just because the college doesn't organise such silly events which spoils the career of students.

Alumni/Alumna :

The college is having a website and facebook page for fhe alumni network. But I am not sure how many are followin these channels and i receive a lot of newsletters and updates from the Alumni network every month. But I cannot explain much as I don't have a habbit of reading all those stuffs

Faculty :

When I joined there were lot of senior faculties who were really good at their work. Their vast experience in the field helped us a lot in preparing for the university examinations and got very convincing results.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
