Remarks :

College is absolutely a nice one but the management is very lazy in sanctioning funds for various fests and programmes in college

Course Curriculum Overview :

This college is under A P J ABDUL KALAM TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY founded in 2015. Actually the curriculum is vast and less industry specific.But the trainings in college helped a lot of students to secure IT jobs rather than core jobs. Every year there are industrial visits for students

Placement Experience :

Most companies that come to campus offer IT Jobs.Companies include Infosys, sutherland, mitsosgo etc Various companies that offer jobs for our course are Apollo tyeares limited Byju's Cameron I/E/N Ltd Amazon Around 60-70 students got placed out of 120 students in this course. Placement training are there from 4th semester onwards

College Events :

Onam celebration which is the best one and in 2017 it resembles like a Thrissur pooram Union day celebration on October each year Cultural fest Vipanchika once in two years Techno cultural fest IGNIZ once in two years There are various mini fests and workshops organised by IEEE, ASME, MHRD, IEDC etc each year

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee Structure is little expensive during my admission time.But now it has decreased and is feasible. Online payments are preferred by the college. Each year a meritorious students have to pay a tuition fees of ?85000. There will be scholarships by government like E GRANTZ, AICTE fee waiver etc

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I got a scholarship amount of ?50000 per year from government ( AICTE FEE WAIVER SCHEME) based on my entrance rank. From 2018 onwards various scholarships are provided by college based on KEAM rank and 12th marks

Campus Life :

One who loves social life, interactions etc will love this campus.There are a lot of extra curricular activities in this college.Sports, dance, NSS, IEEE, ASME chapters.All we need is to select the best one of our taste and absorb its essence.Labs are good enough to do practicals prescribed by University. A lot of competitions are there every semester. Interested ones can showcase their talents

Hostel Facilities :

Yes Three students per room First years have a separate hostel to avoid ragging. In this hostel there is commom bathroom and toilet in each floor. From second year onwards ward will be shifted to senior hostel which have attached bathrooms. Rent is about 2000 per month excluding mess fees.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

They help us a lot in securing jobs and higher studies. Every semester there is an interactive session/ webinar with alumnis

Admission :

I got admission with the help of KEAM rank. I opt for this course because it is one of the core branches of engineering.This institute started in 2001 is one of the best private institution in Kerala. I opted this institution because it is well known for this course. Steps Wrote KERALA ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAM 2016 Qualified with a rank of 6469 and placed option list of top 25 colleges in kerala via KEAM portal. After trial allotment I got Rajagiri School Of engineering and technology.But the fees to be paid initially was very high there.So I changed the option and got admission in SSET im first allotment.

Faculty :

We have about 25 faculties in mechanical department.Average age is 35 years old. Four of them have doctorate while others are pursuing their Ph.D.Really the faculty is awesome. Give brief notes, teach important topics repeatedly and ready to help students at any time.They have various certification courses during ecah academic year

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
