Remarks

Positive: 1. Patient exposure is good 2. Clinical knowledge is encouraged in students 3. Peaceful and scenic campus 4. Known credibility around the country. Negatives: 1. Discriminative teachers 2. Old infrastructure 3. Old fashioned teaching methods.need to update a lot. 4. Does not encourage social life

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

On my opinion course curriculum must undergo rapid changes to incorporate current students mentality. There are a lot of unnecessary works and assignments which is old fashioned and needed to be updated . Updated medical knowledge should be incorporated. Curriculum must be updated enough to help compete the students even at international level.

Placement Experience

3

I have a good hope and expectations on my job placement and opportunities. Doctors also have the ability to self establish a clinic or hospital if financial backup is available. College does provide internship , but the stipend received is very low compared to other private universities in India. According to my observation there is good exposure to students during internship.

College Events

1.5

College support a annual function held and organised by interns. They do provide a very low sponsorship which is insufficient. The sufficient amount is achieved my sponsorship from private parties around the city. The programmes celebrated are Atulyam, tatva , and annual sports meet.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible compared to other private universities in South India. Recently they had increased the fee to 25% increase leading to annual fee of Rs.5.14,000. Hence students intake has not reached to 100 seats last year.

Fees and Financial Aid

In my knowledge, there is no scholarship or loan facility offered by the college to Students. I recommend every colleges to support financially backward students. College does not even inform students about the scholarship promoted by government.

Campus Life

2.5

Extracurricular activities are encouraged by certain teachers. There is no common interest encouraged by the college nor the university itself. Sports is supported by availing a sum of RS.1,60,000 yearly but they do not reflect on the events organised.

Hostel Facilities

2

I have not opted for hostel facilities since first year onwards. I was staying in an apartment near the college from first year onwards. Now I'm doing third year . According to my colleagues , staying in hostel , the infrastructure and facilities of hostel is moderate in comparison to other private universities in South India.

Alumni/Alumna

In my knowledge neither the college not the university doesn't organise a alumni network or get-together for senior students. They are organised by students itself if any. I recommend the college to promote like events.

Faculty

3

They are good enough in my opinion, but some teachers have very discriminative and unsupportive mentality towards students. Some can't understand the life of students easily. Teachers must update their knowledge up-to-date and transfer it to students. Teachers must follow western type of University rules and regulations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is on par with other colleges n the college is constantly trying to improve it which is a gr8 thing!! But one thing which would do wonders is bringing latest dental tech into the curriculum which rarely 1-2 colleges do in India n I would love for our college to bring in this change!! Some dental materials r so old n not used anymore , but still they r in curriculum so...they can even change that!!

The first three years have a combination of medical and dental subjects and fourth year has only dental subjects. Before entering clinics we have mannequins and typhodonts on which we practice procedures which equips us to treat patients. Internal assessments are conducted every 3 months and final exam is conducted by the university every year. The difficulty level of exams is moderate
