Course Curriculum Overview :
Our curriculum is well alligned with the course and industry demands at present. It prepares us not only for the exams but also for the real world problems. First year is hectic with lots of classes but as you advance in your course, you get time to prepare for placements and do self preparation. Exams are conducted twice every semester, mid terms and end terms, along with class assessments that contribute to the final result.
Internships Opportunities :
Lpu usually provides various internship opportunities, it is upon you to grab them with your skills. Many companies offer good opportunities to skilled individuals , sometimes even more than 50k as stipend. Build a good resume and have at least 2-3 projects to showcase your skills.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. You have to maintain a good cgpa of around 7.5-8.0 to be eligible for the placement rounds of most of the top companies like amazon, capegemini etc. Some of the top companies hiring from lpu are capegemini, amazon, infosys, accenture etc. They offer very good packages to skilled students with various industry skills in demand. Almost 90 percent students get placed through on campus placements and rest applyfor higher studies
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
My fees is 92400 per semester after getting Level 2 scholarship in the Lpunest entrance exam third phase. If you want to get a better scholarshi, prepare well beforehand for this particular scholarahip exam and try to attempt it in the first phase since it offers the best scholarship in first phase. Theres a registration fee of about 1000 rs for the lpunest exam. You can also get scholarship based pn your merits, other government exams scores or national level entrance exam results like or even board exams result.
Campus Life :
Some of the annual events of lpu are Youth fest, spectra, one india, one world, etc. They are usually held in the months of august to November. You have an easily accessible central library in lpu with several floors, having almost all kind of books you may ever need. Most of the academic blocks have their own libraries too. You can check availability of any book in the lpu touch app or ums site of lpu. Classrooms are faciliated with some of the advanced technologies like projector, ac, somouter labs in library, academic blocks. Campus has its own sports complex wirh various sports and parks , gardens, and grounds to walk, exercise and maintain good health. If you want to join a club, you can visit the Division of Student Welfare, it is the hub of all lpu clubs. You can be a part of literary club, drama club or dance club, as you wish. These clubs also organise various events in lpu and are even helpful for your resume. You can learn a lot by being a part of a club and various activities in the campus. It will be a valueable experience for you
Hostel Facilities :
I have a four seater apartment and it costed me 100000 per head. I have opted for hostel mess only and the food tastes good, there's a lot of variety to choose from and if you want, you can buy food from canteen canteen too. You can register through lpu website for hostels.
Admission :
I chose this college over the other because it was one of the top colleges providing best placement opportunities in the computer science field. I did not get rejected but i was even selected in a govt college in pune but because of placements, i chose LPU. You can get admissions by online means or coming to the university and visiting admission block. If you have above 75 percent in your 12th results, you can get admission here.
Faculty :
Lpu always tries to maintain a good relationship between students and faculty members. It has made the faculty approachable by providing each student with a mentor to solve their issues and having regular meetings with them. You can also approach your teachers in their cabins by the cabin number provided along with your subject details and time table. Some of my favourite faculty members are Mr. Abhijit sir, my maths teacher and Ms. Nadini ma'am, my english teacher. They always encourage me to do my best and are very understanding. For the exams, dont depend on the class study material only try to study from other resources too since theor level is harder than class assessmens taken by subject teachers.
Night Life :
Some of my favourite hhangout spots in lpu are food courts near 34 block, uni mall, and robopark. You can even chill in the gardens near your hostel or academic blocks. The campus is secure with at least one security guard in 200-300 m radius. For fitness freaks, There's a gym in unimall and another in sports complex. Girls hostels have a timing that changes according to season, it is usually around 7-8 pm. Boys have more lenience in this area. They can roam around the campus at night before 12.
