Course Curriculum Overview :
The academic and course curriculum is very nice. The teaching methods are different for different faculty members. But, overall they are all cooperative and interactive. In first year, the classes start from 8 AM but, as the time pass by the classes decrease every year.
Internships Opportunities :
In core, there are not many internship opportunites. Companies like Bajaj, TVS, Flipkart, Amazon(non-tech), JSP, JSW are some companies. The stipend is almost 30k per month for all the students from core background.
Placement Experience :
After 5th semester, the students become eligible for on-campus placements. The placements percentage for mechanical branch is almost 95%. The overall highest package is around 64lpa. My plan is to get placed on campus in a good firm.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure differs with the category someone belongs to. I'm from OBC category, The expenses are around 52000 for tuition fee and 64000 for hostel fee. If someone is from general category, The tuition fee is more than 1.5lakh annually. There are also many scholarships offered at the university.
Campus Life :
Overall campus life is very good. There are always some student engaging activities going on in the campus. The campus is filled with greenary. There are two fests(Technical and Cultural fests) held every year for 3 days.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities differ from hostel to hostel. The food provided is purely vegetarian and it's hygienic but not so tasty. The old hostel facilities are not so good and there are new hostels being built.
Admission :
This college provides best opportunities for Mechanical engineering students, as they get vast exposure. I also got a seat in NIT, Kurukshetra (Mechanical Engineering) but, I chose MNIT over it. This is because of the infrastructure, facilities and placement percentage.
Faculty :
The faculty here at MNIT are all well learned. All of them are also from different parts of country and all of them got their masters and doctorate degrees from top IIT's. Most of them student friendly and are very cooperative.
Interview Experience :
The selection criteria was through JEE Mains and the admission is through JOSAA and there is no such Group discussion/ Personal Interview for the admission. The solely depends on the percentile and Common AIR rank in the test.
Night Life :
The nightlife in the college campus are filled with fun moments and memorable events with friends. There are gym, Cafeteria( Central canteen), Library facilities. The famous hangout places are PMC, OAT in th campus. The locality is very safe as the campus is present in the city centre.
Other Applied Colleges
National Institute of Technology - [NIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mechanical Engineering)
Because the campus placements and infrastructure is better at MNIT, Jaipur
