- i liked the infrastructure of the college very much . all the main buildings are built recently .
- i liked the location of college very much . it is in the middle of city and all the malls are very near to it .
Dislikes
- i didn't like the coding culture in this college . expect very few bright students remaining all have very little coding skills
- i didn't like some of the faculty . they just come and read the slides and go without actually being passionate about teaching .
Course Curriculum Overview :
the curriculum is just like any Engineering college . nothing different here. In first year you do common subjects with other branches. In 2nd year you do DSA and other core Subjects . there are not too relevant now. some subjects like ML, BlockChain are now added to our course.
Internships Opportunities :
I am cuurently in my 3rd year . so the internship drive have already started and companies like Duestche Bank, De Shaw,Schrodinger, Expedia, and many already visisted the campus. around 30 percent of my classmates have got summer internship. hoping to get one by the end of this year.
Placement Experience :
i am currently in 3rd year CSE, odd Semester . Many companies have already visited the campus and provided summer internship offers . my classmates have got offered in Amazon,Expedia,Cisco and many other financial companies like De Sahw, Duestche Bank. around 30 percent of my class are offered internship.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
we pay fees yearly two times . the fee structure is divided into three types 1) Institute fee generally you need to pay 20215 in odd semester and 19450 for every even semester . in 1st sem you need to pay extra 16600 as caution fee. 2) Hostel fee for every sem you need to pay 32000 . and 16000 as caution fee in 1st sem 3) Semester fee i have ews scholarship as my family income is less than 1 lac, so i got full scholarship , if you are ews and your family is between 1 lac to 5 lac you will get (66%) scholarship . Otherwise you need to pay 64000 in before every semester
Campus Life :
Mnit has overall a decent campus life. It has one of the best infrastructure of all NITs, Most Malls in jaipur are located near campus like GT, WTP malls. Mnit has two annual fests 1.SPHINX this is technical festival of Mnit. held in November. 2. BLITZSCLAG This is cultural festival of Mnit . held in Febrauary. Both Fests offer Concert nights, Hackathons , Guest Lectures etc.. All classes are held in Vivekananda Lecture Theatre Complex( VLTC) for all years . Mnit has best canteens . there are available from 8 am to 2 pm .
Hostel Facilities :
Mnit has currently 15 hostels of which 12 for boys and 3 for girls . In first year 3 students are alloted to each room and from 2nd year each student gets his room. the rooms of hostel are spacious and there are gardens outside each hostel. each hostel has Activity rooms for extra curricular activites . some hostels like (H-7,H-14,H-8) have badminton courts in them . others have volleyball courts . the only problem is some hostels like Aurbindo does not provide quality food .
Admission :
As Every one Know you will get into NIT or IIT if you get a cutoff rank in JEE MAINS exam . luckily i got 5893 rank in general category and 850 in EWS category . my first thought was to get into any North NIT. and based on previous year cutoffs i hsould land in NIT BHOPAL but through some luck the cut offs increased and i landed in MNIT JAIPUR..
Faculty :
Mnit has faculty to student ratio of 1:20 . i am currently in 3rd year of my 4 years Computer Science and Engineering course . The faculty here mostly teaches in mix of Hindi and English. Initially i found it difficult to understand it. Some of the faculty are very bad with their English still they teach in English . It is very hard to focus in their classes. As a South Indian i find it initially hard but once i started learning Hindi it beacame a little easy.Some teachers are very lousy about their teaching . they just come and read the slides that's it . At the same time i found some passionate teachers also who will ask questions while teaching and make extra effort than needed.
