- There is a huge crowd in the CSE field.
- Change of section every semester is bothersome.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Curriculum is very relevant to my course and comprehensively covers all the key subjects of my course. They can improve in hand on practice and real world teaching methods. Exams are of medium to hard level most times
Internships Opportunities :
You can expect offers from good companies if you have a good cgpa and academic record,with required skills. Job roles are software tester, junuior developer etc. If you have good skills and stand out among your peers, you can expect a stipend of about 60k from good companies per month.
Placement Experience :
You become eligible for campus placements from 6th semester onwards. Many majot companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Accenture, Infosys, Cognizat, Optimiser, ServiceNow etc hire skilled indiviuals from LPU. The highets package for LPU hirees is around 3 crores off campus, 64 lakhs on campus and evrage package is about 7-8 lakhs. around 70-80 percent students get placed through campus placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I pay Rs. 80400 per sem for tuition after getting a level 1 scholarship in the phase 3 of university entrance exam called LPUnest. There's a regsistration fee of about 1000 for the exam and it is conducted in three phases throughout the year. You can get best scholarship, try to take the exam in the first phase and score well in the exam. Or you can get a scholarship based on your academic merits, sports quota etc.
Campus Life :
Life at LPU is very happening and eventful. There are many fests and events conducted throughout the year in campus. You can find any book in the central library and check the availability of any book through the university app.
Hostel Facilities :
I have a standard non Ac 3 seater room, it has almirahs, geyser, a bathroom, and study table with chairs for students. I have opted for hostel mess since it provides balanced food with various options. The taste is good and you can expect some specialities on special occasions. You can register for hostel during admission process from the site or admission blocl.
Admission :
I applied to many other private universities and some goverment colleges for other courses like amity university, GNDU,CU, JP group of institutions but i chose LPU for its safe campus, placement opportunities, and college life. No i didn't face anny rejection from any other college. You can apply online from the university site. You need to have above 75 percent in PCM to apply fpr computer science and any major central entrance exams like JEE are accepted for admission and you even get a scholarship based on your score.
Faculty :
Faculties are very approachable, your time table contains the cabin number and seat number of your faculty so you can directly approach them in case of any query. Every student is provided a menor who checkup on you and solves your issues. You can even file a complaint using the university app or site if needed. Some of the faculties, Like Mr. Irfan Ramzan Paray, my DBMS teacher, Mr. Amit Dobhal, My aptitue teacher are some of the most hardworking teachers you can find in an university, who genuinely want their students to excel. There's no one i particularly dislike. You have two major exams, Mid Terms conducter after aroun1.5-2 months after start of session and ent terms finally, Some practical subjects like Programming, DSA have practical exams conducted before the end terms. Always study fromexternal sources along with college ppt to excel in the exams
Interview Experience :
I did not face any interview of group discussion for the admission process. I just had to take an entrance exam which you can skip if you don't want the scholarship. This exam is called Lpunest and it's conducted in three phases every year. First phase offers the largest amount of scholarship. Then it reduces phas wise. I have my exam in the third phase and got a level one scholarship and 35% of my tuition fee was waived off because of this scholarship exam. You can get a scholarship based on other merits like National entrance exam score or board results or any sports quota if you have it. For Lpunest exam, they provide you the syllabus and it mostly covers 12th class topics of physics chemistry,maths, verbal ability, and logical reasoning.
Night Life :
Since I am a girls, I am not allowed to go out of the hostel premises late at night. We have a check in time at the hostel. Hostel timing varies with the seasons, in summers it's around 8 pm and in winters it's about 7 pm.Some famous hangout places inside campus are Food courts near 34 block, unihospital, and the unimall. The robopark has sitting areas and its crowded with students chilling around.
