- Firstly I like the campus’s architecture and all the hangout spots inside vit
- Second I like how students from different parts of the world socialise and interact and engage so vibrantly.
Dislikes
- I don’t like how the student and faculty ratio is 60-40
- I also feel that since 30000 plus students study here , individuality is less.
Course Curriculum Overview :
VIT includes variety of courses , programs and teaching methods. In total it offers 34 UG programs ,32 PG programs and 9 integrated programs. VIT also uses Choice Based Credit System for each and every department. VIT regularly updated their curriculum to keep up with the trend.
Placement Experience :
VIT has a good record of placements through out the years. With the CSE program seeing over 90 percentage placements. In 2023 the highest package was 1.02 crore and the average was 9.30 LPA. Also around 70 percent of them secure internships with roles like software engineering.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total tution fees structure and scholarships differ for each program. It ranges from 1.2 lakhs to 15 lakhs depending on the course and duration. Example for my course BCA- 1.6 lakh and for MCA - 2.7 lakh. VIT also offered various scholarships like , VITEEE scholarship, Merit awards and more.
Campus Life :
VIT is one such college which is always lively and fun, with variety of clubs and chapters. The clubs focus on interests like technical , artistic ,research and more. It also hosts many large events with sponsors all over India like Riviera.
Admission :
The admission process is very simple in vit. Candidates are selected based on their merit in the their last qualifying exam or entrance exam(VITEEE, VITMEE , etc). I didn't choose any other college before VIT because it provides a platform for students and faculty to connect with international experts.
Faculty :
VIT has more than 100 faculties in each of its branch. Mostly 80% of them have a great experience and most hold a PhD from colleges all over the world.They are very approachable and friendly which makes every student feel comfortable to learn and gain knowledge.
Night Life :
There are many spots around the college and within the college that are open until 11. The hostel students are mostly told to enter the rooms by 9pm for safety and security purposes. Within 9 pm they are allowed inside libraries accessible till 12, gym facilities inside hostel and many more.
