Honest opinion on Gauhati Commerce College

Fee structure and the location of the college plus the brand name of the college influenced me to choose it Not that well as it is basically theoretical knowledge More practical knowledge should be provided The exam frequency is good and the difficulty level is also moderate

No intership is provided by the college. One should not have any intership goals if they are choosing this college. No stipend is provided since there is no intership present. During 5th sem they ask you to do a project on so business case study thats it

The complete fees for 3 year is 120,000 The per semester fee is 20,000. There is fee deduction if you belong to st/sc or if you are financially strong or belong to economically backward sections 6000 for such students Gauhati commerce college scholarship, anundoram borauh scholorship.

Quasofiesta is an annual fest organised by the mba and bba department where a no of quiz and events take place. They are held around may month Everything is available in the college library Acs along with projectors are provided in each classroom There is a field along with gym for any physical activities There is also ncc along with some student clubs

I applied for christ bangalore campus but got delhi ncr campus so didnt opt for it I also applied for st xaviers college kolkata got it but change of plans No, I got calls from every college I applied for its just that my plans were changed You need to have around 70% percentage to get a call from the bba department and if you are from state board 80% or above will do the job. Admission experience was not that good

The faculty to student ratio is 1:80. The faculty to student relationship is very good. They are very approachable The management and economics faculty is my favourite. They are the best The maths and accountancy faculty I dont like because their way of teaching is not upto my taste There is 1 sessional exam before every semester exams and it is very easy

Nightlife is not present as the college shuts at around 5 Gym is present along with 1 canteen with 1 library Hostel timing is 6pm ie you have to return before 6pm The college canteen is a famous place to hangout and kadak chai outside the college is one such place
