Course Curriculum Overview

5

From my higher education in school, I am interested in maths and programming. So I decided to take my cse course . The curriculum covers most of the areas of computer science and the syllabus is updated more oftenly. The staffs have great knowledge on their handling subjects.

Internships Opportunities

2

I got an internship at ICM through thozhil as a Web developer. It is a startup company. They do counselling for student who are planned to study abroad and give guidance and make them get a seat in the foreign universities.

Fees and Financial Aid

During my first year, the fees structure was like 1 lakhs for tution fee + skill development fee . The bus fare was charged separately as per the routes. I was charged 35k per year and an additional fees like book fees 20 k and seminar fees 25k through online payment. I got admission through tnea with cutoff of 189.5 . They gave me scholarship of rs 5000 for the first year only. To sum up , they charge around rs 1.75 lakhs for a student tnea quota. Management were charged too high. They have to pay donation of about 10 lakhs to join the college. Every year the fees is increasing gradually. But the quality for the money is not upto the mark.

Campus Life

2

There is no campus life. All we have to do is to sit in the class and listen to the lecture. If anyone see you roaming inside the campus then your id card will taken away and we have meet the consequences. The library is accessible at anytime and it stores a variety of stuffs. There are several clubs .

Admission

I applied through tnea counselling. I had a cutoff of 189.5/200 and I applied for top colleges like CEG,MIT,SSN. I know I won't get seat in those colleges as my cutoff is not upto that level. Then I preferred for REC, CIT AND then SEC. My primary need is cse course. Even though I got seat in REC in ECE department. I had given upward movement in the counselling which got me a seat in SEC (CSE).

Faculty

5

They have mentioned that the ratio of faculty -to-student is 1:20. I accept this. In my department, most of the staffs are friendly and easily approachable. The floor staffs are too old . They don't understand this generation students. They are 3 assessment test named as CAT. and they conduct cycle test for lab experiments. And finally we have to write semester exam. It is very easy to clear the exam.
