- The sports facilities of our college are great. The SAC comprises of all the cultural and sports activities.
- Campus is not too big and not too small also. It is perfect and everything is available and reachable.
Dislikes
- Roads somewhere are not too good. They should be renovated.
- Mess food is not at all healthy and strict action should be taken
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is properly framed and aims to develop interest of the field and roots the concepts step by step. Few courses are really tough and they could be made interesting by introducing practicals in that subject like electronic devices. Some courses like microprocessors are really interesting and moderately difficult. I think more labs should be there as compared to theory subjects because labs gives a better idea of the topic and also creates a good impact of the course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fees is approximately 1 lakhs per semester. The mess fees is 15000 which is also paid per semester. Apart from that, hostel fees and miscellaneous sum upto 10k per semester. So approximately 1.25 lakhs per semester is the total fees for general category
Campus Life :
There are 4 festivals which are held annually. Concetto, the technical fest, is held in october and it is the greatest technical fest of north east india. Khanan, the geo mining fest, is held a few weeks after concetto to keep the legacy of ISM. The biggest cultural fest , Srijan, is held in February and it is full of cultural activities along with EDM night. Basant, the annual alumni meet is held along with srijan and all the alumni are invited with their families. There are all cultural clubs present in our college, drama, dance, music etc. Apart from that, sports and technical clubs are also there. Overall, there is a lot to explore and the campus life is awesome Parakram, the sports fest, is held a month after srijan.
Admission :
The admission process is very simple as it is completely controlled by JOSAA and everything is done virtually. At the time of admission, physical registration is done and hostel is allotted at the same time and we can shift the same day. Admission process is very smooth. The eligibility to get into IIT Dhanbad is to qualify JEE Advanced with under 20k AIR. For my branch specifically, the cutoff is around 6k for general category. The college offers a great campus life and choosing this college and this branch is one of those decisions which I don't regret.
Faculty :
Faculty is highly qualified. Most of them have done great in their fields and motivates us to pursue the same. Faculty is understanding, supportive and approachable. There are 2 theory exams and one lab exam in every semester. Apart from that, there are 2 quizzes/assignment and rest varies from course to course. If you study well, then you can easily score 8.5+ gpa.
