Remarks :

This is not very good or wow at its first site as it holds an IIT tag. But gradually you will fall in love with it. The central library is the main charm of ISM. As a city Dhanbad is not very much developed and there are very few places to enjoy.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Geophysics deals with the study of earth by using physics laws.It is not as old as other science streams there are much more things to be discovered and much more mystries to be solved as compare to other conventional science subnects.

Placement Experience :

In geophysics, comparing other institutes it have a very satisfying record. Almost half of the class strength got recruited through campus placement. Main visiting companies are ONGC, CAIRN, SCHLUMBERGER, OIL INDIA.

College Events :

Technical Fest CONCETTO. Cultural fest SRIJAN, BASANT. Other than these all festivals are celebrated very beautifully and the cultural fests run throughout the whole year. Too many games and activities involved.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

In my course The first sem fee was 49000. And in second sem we have paid 31000. It is quite expensive comparing other IITs and quite feasible to others. So it' s like average. Food quality is not so good but reliable.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is a scholarship named as MCM scholarship. Which provide approximately 30000. There are also other scholarships for different categories like for sceduled caste and sceduled tribe or financialy poor people.

Campus Life :

There is one place in ISM named as SAC. That stands for students activity centre. There are too many facilties available having one big ground for football and other for cricket. It also provides swimming pool, yoga centre, badminton court, basket ball court, gym and other facilities for indoor and outdoor games.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are good. MEss food is also satisfactory. In a single room, two people live and accomodation capability is good according to room size. Two electric rod bulb are provided with one fan, one deem light,two cupboards, two study tables and two chairs. Common hall and gym are also there. A badminton court and balcony add more charm to it.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

ISM is known for their senior junior relationship. Here this relationship is very good, seniors are very helpful. At first it feels irritating to follow this trend but after some time you will fall in love having this atmosphere. Also almost all the visiting company's chairman and director belongs to ISM.

Admission :

I took admission to Indian Institute of Techhnolgy,Dhanbad by qualifying Joint Entrance test for M.Sc(JAM) with all India Rank 611. It is an national level examination for post graduation in science from IITs and NITs.

Faculty :

In India for earth sciences, Indian institute of Technolgy,Dhanbad has made a prestigious position.Faculties are very good and helpful and all have a good background of research and they are master of their domain.

A college with pros and cons both

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is quite interesting and if someone loves forest and nature and trees, this course is perfect for that person. But to get job in this field, you have to Crack govt. Exams. There are many jobs in private too but just don't compare it with anyother popular courses.

Best affordable college for MSc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Lab should be upgrade. Exams are totally syllabus based and moderate level of questions paper. Need some more teacher to complete syllabus on time. Provide ppt or pdf for notes for easy learning. Teachers always say about future career opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced choose the science course in this college is good but art's are not good it is average. I was the curriculum prepare to academic pursuits. In this university of college are average study there are easy to clear exam to self study . The frequency and timing of exams along with 3 months and easy to clear all subjects exam to self study. Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been a science student and I like physics that's why I chose B.Sc. physics, The faculty of KMC was well educated and in good proportion to the students, the teaching method was also highly professional and very easy to understand.
