The way of teaching is very good, everything becomes really easy after understanding the concepts properly in the class
Faculty is very understanding and polite.

Dislikes

The food in the canteen is a bit expensive as compared to the quality and quantity offered
There are 7 floors and mostly the lift doesn't work or is overloaded

Course Curriculum Overview :

I would suggest that instead of making the students hand-write codes in their notebooks or assignments or even in their exams, they should promote typing the code on the computer itself. There is a subject "understanding India" which should either be teached properly or should be removed from the curriculum because it is of no use to BCA students

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 148000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees is quite high compared to the facilities provided, also the fees increases every year. Fir BCA course the yearly fees is almost 1.5 lakhs. They take extra charges if they are organising any function/ fest at the college or outside.

Campus Life :

Overall experience is good, but the campus is too small, there is no ground in the campus to play any outdoor games, talking about indoor games, there is only one or two table tennis tables in the basement and the gym is also not well equipped. The infrastructure is good considering the libraries,classes and the labs.

Admission :

I have chosen this college as it comes under top 5 colleges of GGSIPU. It provides the best education and is a disciplined college. However I was trying to get admission in the VIPS college but due to my rank, I was not able to do so. The admission process was a bit of a hurdle on the day of reporting as the documents and the specifications of those documents were not mentioned on the college website, when we got to the college and got to know about those specifications, we had to get the documents gathered and it took too much time and it caused too much haphazard.

Faculty :

The faculty is very polite, they provide every help when required. The current curriculum for BCA is 60-40. 60- for the main external exams and 40- for the internals. Attendance also carries 5 marks. Ashish Nayyar sir is the best teacher in the faculty till now. His way of teaching is great and he clear the doubts as much times if he sees a student is still confused. The Maths teacher (Dr. Megha Sharma) on the other hand is not at all good in teaching. She just comes to the class, writes the solved examples from the book, gives worksheets/assignments almost everyday and does not even bother to clear the doubts of the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good and well described. The syllabus of each subject is well detailed the syllabus teaches the subject in detail. The syllabus is prescribed by the university as of now, and there are a lot of languages that are being taught in the BCA department, but a student has to focus only on specific languages and one domain and focus on that domain only to to succeed in that domain. The area for improvements are some of the subjects are not useful for the students. For example, the mandatory subjects like accountancy don't help much for BCA students. The exams are conducted after five months of the semester start. The internal exams are held after half of the syllabus is complete and half of the unit come in the internal exam, whereas in the external exam, the full syllabus comes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Main thing which made me decide to choose bca from this college was because of easy accessable admission and im personally interested in computer science and this college was best for that thing. The education topics are well updated not something which is useless to learn everything which is utile is being taught here. Although no matter how good a thing is there is always a room for improvement, there are some topics which were important before but now they are no more usefull but we still have to learn them which isn't a good thing so it should be removed removing new topic is as removing outdated ones. Frequency of exams is just right twice a year with atleast 5 months of gap between each one , providing enough time to prepare for them and difficulty level should not be that hard If u have prepared for it .

Placement Experience:

The college will provide the placements in the placement drive. Almost all the students got placed with a decent amount of money in their hands and those who don't want to be placed they opt for higher studies. From semester 5 they become eligible for campus placements. TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO HCL, etc. are the companies mostly visited and they are offered according to the student's caliber. The highest package is 6 LPA and the average is 4 LPA. Almost 90% of students get placed. After completing my course I will try to get a good-paying job if not then I will do MCA.

Good and Pragmatic

Placement Experience:

All the students would be required to submit several documents including class 10th examination certificate, class 10th and 12th mark sheets, character certificate, class 12th provisional certificate, ST/SC certificate, OBC certificate, transfer certificate from school along with the migration certificate (in case the student has done his/her schooling from outside Delhi) and three passport size photographs self-attested by the student.

10% of students in our course got placed, and the rest of them go for research work and for higher studies. The highest salary package offered in our course is 15 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. About 40% of students got an internship in companies InfoAdda, Travel Triangle, PepsiCo, Realme and Oneplus.
