- This college will provide you almost all of the resources that are required for your studies, be it B.tech or MBA or Agriculture etc.
- The campus is vast. It is definitely fun to have a huge campus with so many areas to explore.
Dislikes
- There are not many things to dislike here, but the college faculties could definitely be better.
- Also the classroom can be definitely much better
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course to gain knowledge about Computer Sciences and how that knowledge can be applied for practical purposes. The curriculum definitely prepares you for the real world applications except some courses which I don't think do much of help to an individual. The teaching methods can definitely be improved and more practically oriented rather than just theoretical approach. Timing of exams is perfect in relation to the course completion deadlines.
Internships Opportunities :
We have got many companies coming for students and the packages are also very good, but it's all about the skill you have learnt throughout the four years of BTech and I don't think we have lack of packages coming from various companies. I think it's mostly the unskilled students that are not placed.
Placement Experience :
Well for internships, a student can do that after 1st year only. But a student is eligible for placements after the 4th semester or after completing 2nd year. Highest package recieved by our college was of Rs.3 Cr and average package is of approx 8 lacs You will definitely get placed if you are skilled enough and I think this is the story of every college. My plans after completing the degree is to pursue M.Tech or get a nifce package in a good company.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Currently I am in B.Tech CSE 2nd year. My tution fees is Rs.86400 with scholarship Residential Fees i.e. the Hostel chrages are as follows: For AC rooms: One Seater- Rs.210000 Two Seater- Rs.160000 Three Seater- Rs.130000 Four Seater- Rs.110000 *I don't know about the Non-AC Rooms* If you OPT for Mess Services: Cost of 2 time meal(Breakfast and Dinner OR Lunch and Dinner) is Rs.34000 Cost of 3 time meal(Breakfast,Lunch and Dinner) is Rs.38000 Cost of 4 time meal (Breakfast, Lunch,Tea,Dinner) is Rs.42000 We also have an option of Ala Carte where you can have food of your own choice, it costs Rs.50000 You can also opt for Laundry services for RS.5000. Gym facilities can be availed for Rs.5000, For Scholarships, the college provides LPUNEST exam that provides scholarships on the tution fees ONLY.
Campus Life :
My campus life expereince has been exceptional. There are people form various countries, ethnicity, cultures and backgrounds.I have made a bunch of amazing friends. We have a lot of events going on in the campus. Last year, Sunidhi Chauhan with Coke Studio performed in college. Talking about library, we have a 6 storey library comprising of a huge variety of books on different topics. We also have many computer labs and I Mac labs for student usage. The sports culture of our college is quite rich. We have got so many playgrounds and so many courts for different sports. There are many student run social groups and clubs where you can join and use your skills to participate in many activities and upskill yourself. He also get many academic benefits by being a part of any social club.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms are cozy. Students are given a study table, a bed and an Almirah.Restrooms are attached to the rooms. The meal quality, I guess it's below average, and I haven't like any meal of the hostel so far. The registration process of hostel is quite easy. You just have to open the website of the college and choose residential facilities and choose the choice of your hostel and just be done with it. It's also quite affordable if you compare other private colleges residential facilities to this college. If you rent a room or a PG, obviously outside the college and the environment, there is quite friendly. We have many students from different countries and culture living outside due to the freedom.
Admission :
To be honest, I did not get enough marks in JEE Mains to enter government colleges so I was left with no other option. One of my cousins also studies here which also convinced me to choose this college. Admission process of my college is not that complex, just filling out some forms and affidavits. Eligiblity criteria for my course is 60% Marks in PCM in 12th boards.
Faculty :
I am not impressed by the faculty here in college. Most of them don't even know what they are teaching the students.They would just come and open teh PPTs and read data from it. You can't seriously call that teaching. Exam structure consists of CAs, Mid Terms and End Terms. CAs are conducted after completion of every 2 chapters Mid terms are conducted in the middle of semester, having 3 Units as Syllabus End terms are taken at the end of the Semester with 6 units as syllabus In my opinion, CAs are quite relevant to what you study while the level of mid terms is not that good (below average). End terms are of strandard level. Overall course curriculum is moderately relevant.
