Remarks :

the office staff is a little irresponsible. I didn't get my caution deposit yet. every time they say no money there. I think they are playing a little with the scholarships and students' funds.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is ok. if you want to study u can study. library and faculty help is there. u r the one only one controlling ur life there.

Placement Experience :

Placement is poor. college atmosphere and remoteness make companies stay away from college but college arranges some career guidance and placement classes in their own possible ways. arranges, and take away students to other campuses to attend placements.

College Events :

many kinds of arts and cultural events are there in college. freshers day, college day, union inauguration, onam, xmas, women's day(1 week), arts(3 days), sports(2 days), Advaya (3 days), etc. Advaya is a technical-socio-cultural event. that is the main celebration of the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

you don't have to worry about fees. because, I got 3 kinds of scholarships from the different schemes, which almost include some total of 50k a year. that is enough to study in a government college. u have to search for scholarships. e-grants and moma are the main schemes. per sem ur fees and all college expenses will cover under 10k.

Campus Life :

campus life is good, the gender ratio is 50 50 maybe that depends on the branch. The lab facility is ok. Some sports events are there on the campus. but u can't expect the availability of gym and sports goods every time. peoples in Idukki campus always keeps an eye on social. because they always find time for helping others.

Hostel Facilities :

There are private hostels available. I choose a private one. that was almost 4-5 k per month. if u r choosing a college hostel, it will be 2k nearly. but there is a shortage of water some times.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

the alumni network is there. but it is not so much active. seniors are awsome. u cannot approach anyone. because there is a bond between every gentian.

Faculty :

The faculty is good. Some are guest lectures. we cannot expect any spoon feeding or compulsory education routine here. u can learn if u want to lean. library and scholarships are available.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
