  • If attendance are short in more than two subjects then get ready for a year back.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Legal studies enticed me ever since I watched the American series Suits. I still remember I was in 10th and from there my preparation for CLAT started and I am finally studying law. Well, internships are not provided through the university and therefore finding it on our own is a little tough and if this is fixed, I think everything else is sorted.

Placement Experience :

Placement for Law are not that willed as other branches of the university but placements exists. However, litigation is promoted here so most students who pass out from here go for litigation. My plans are same too as my maternal uncle is a lawyer and he has promised to support me in and out for that.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Presidency University Bangalore is a world class university and to study law from here, I have to pay 70 thousand per semester and likewise 140k a year. Government scholarships for SC/ST and other students from EWS are available and obviously their fees is quite less than what otherwise one has to pay.

Campus Life :

We have food stalls on almost each department and besides that 2 big canteens. Our annual fest is Invancia and is celebrated by all 2000+ students of the university. The campus is over 60+ acres and have departmental blocks one after the other. Sports facilities are super awesome as me have multiple basketball courts and a huge cricket field.

Admission :

Fir any law aspirants in India NLSUI is the first choice. I am from Bangalore and when I missed it, it felt so low and then I started exploring other options in my city only. I was confused between Christ and Presidency but then Christ is way too expensive and over crowded too, so I chose this University as my CLAT score and 12th percentage were enough to get me direct admissions here.

Faculty :

Holistic approach and pushing us to write research papers has been their biggest takeaway. They all are PhD holders and law being a professional course, the first thing that teach us is professionalism. Studies and all are there but how to reply mails and how to put out points forward. How to win a debate and all has been the biggest thing that they have taught us.

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good. Because, top companies do come and select the students provided that they have to maintain a miminum CGPA and after the interviews they are selected. In the law, the average package ranges from 3 Lakhs and the maximum goes beyond 13 Lakhs. In the third year, the students are required to elect their baskets. The students who have chosen corporate law basket get placed more. Other baskets are also good and the placements are better for them as well. But, the opportunities in the corporate field are more.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell for every single department of the university, where faculties work on the campus placement of students in various fields, As law is a professional course, there are many types of placements such as recruitments from corporate law firms , legal advising. There are many other options like Judiciary exams, Other state and central service examinations available for students.

Placement Experience:

We do have the placements for both Autonomous and law department including post graduation. We have a list of companies and firms names and according to that whichever we want to apply for we apply and we have interviews and all in those firms and according to that we get the placements. The percentage of the students for placements should be 60% and above. The average package of the company and profile offered is 3 lakhs and above. My plan after getting a degree is I want to work in corporate firms as it is my ambition.

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell but it doesn't work well. Few associates and law firms have came to the college till now but couldn't provide a good amount of packages. The students generally prefer off campus placement or independent practice after completing the course. After 4th year which is 7th semester the students apply for placements.

Placement Experience:

From the 8 semester, students are eligible for placements. Companies like trilegal, khaitan and co made few offers and students got placed. Highest package was about 12 lacs and avg would be around 7. 50% students get their placement. I am quite inclined towards the corporate sector.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very much into these crimes and investigation from before and also as my dad is also a lawyer i had a touch to this course since my childhood and i took up this course. The thing you study in books is very different until you experience the same. Its very imporatnt to have experience in this course. This college is very much into the books and not practical real world. I guess that should be improved in this college. There will be 2 exams for a academic year. The difficulty will be moderate and depends on university.
