A True Review about DTU aka the new DCE

Dislikes

  • The number of students is too much 2.5k for each btech year.
  • There is an 85% quota for delhi students which causes the crop to be not as good

Course Curriculum Overview :

It's still toooo old school considering the new Trend like I'm from ECE branch rather than teaching about new ics(integrated circuits) they teach old ones which are barely used these days like 741s and 555s

Internships Opportunities :

There are companies coming for internships but the amount of students who get the internship is very low considering the sheer amount of students present but the companies are very good paying a good stipend in my current internship drive the highest stipend given was 1,87Lakh by Uber.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for placement after the 6th semester and usually people above 7cgpa can sit for OAs(online assessment) and if they are short listed they might be asked for another round or straight for interviews

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are scholarships for SC/ST students with income less than 15LPA anually rest normally Indian students pay 2,29,000rupess normally for the fee of 1year nearly 9lakh rupees for the whole year it includes tuition and all the rest perks which the college offers along with library benefits which allow you to borrow books for a week

Campus Life :

There are lot of societies in DTU of all sorts like cultural council which is the biggest one which is responsible for the biggest annual fest from DTU called engifest or the freshers aarambh so everyone will have a society in which they fit in

Admission :

I was offering NIT Rourkela ECE aswell I chose DTU over it cause of the geographical location ,closeness to my home and most importantly the companies coming for placements and internships in the college

Faculty :

The professors seem not to care too much about student as the number of sheer amount of students as the number of students are upwards of 15-20k students and there are mid semester and end sem exams and there is internal marks.

Placement Experience:

The placements are really good for a college like DTU, situated at close proximity to industry hubs like Noida and Gurgaon, Last Season the college placed about 70% of its students with an average of 14 lakhs. and highest of 82.5 lakhs. students from 5th semesters are eligible for Training and placement, with fifth semester getting placed for internships, while 7th semester kids, are eligible to sit for the FTE roles and etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but not best during 2022 to 2024 current year ,I don't know properly but my seniors said that it is due to recession and also it affects IIT BOMBAY. If Recession will go then it has also good placement opportunities if you are skilled. Because DTU provide all branches in tech company if you are skilled in coding. Approx 100+ companies had came in past years .

Remarks:

I choose computer Science because of my interest in the same. The amount of knowledge dissipated to u is the best thing and also having 2-3 practice lab periods really help you make ready for industry. The college can offer internships to their students which would be of great help. There are no. Of opportunities in terms of events technical and non technical that take place.

Remarks:

The only downside of my college is that the hostels doesn't have enough capacity so only 25% are able to get hostels, others have to live in flat/pgs or commute daily and its located in Rohini so most people have to travel a lot to come to the university. There's nothing good around the campus to go to, nearest attraction is nsp or south campus.
