Remarks

the college managements are not so helpful yes some of them are helpful but mainly all the management are so tired and always enjoying their lunch break and ask students to come back later

Entrance Preview

as i heard about indraprastha university from a friend and decided to give a ipu-cet exam and was able to clear my exam with 30000 rank and i was an outside delhi student so i chose gtbit college as it was a sikh minority student so i got admitted with 30000 rank into gtbit

Course Curriculum Overview

3

i chose electrical and electronics engineering as i was more interested in electrical rather than computer science or information technology in our branch we are taught about machines and circuits we attend many workshops and industrial visits for a better learning beside theoretical and bookish knowledge

Internships Opportunities

yes the college to provide internships but if you can arrange a better internship by yourselfs good as the college also ask good marks and some money to provide you internship other than that its good if you get a internship by your own

Placement Experience

3.5

placements are too good as comparing other colleges in indraprasth university. the cse branch gets the best placement records but my branch is eee and we does not get too much jobs as the core companies does not come in campus placement so we better prepare for masters or job outside the campus

College Events

4.5

our college have many extra curricular programs and events beside studies students makes many societies and events throughout the year. if you are interested in dancing or tech or singing or drama every thing is presented in college. but at the end of year our college organises a cultural festival where many punjabi singers are invited for shows.

Fee Structure And Facilities

i am a 2015 batch student and our annual fees was 87,000 rs but for 2016 and later batch the fees has been hiked up to 1,10,000 rs . fees was reasonable in my batch but if you can afford the present fees you are most welcome because this fees is too reasonable comparing some other private institutes

Fees and Financial Aid

yes i availed scholarship which is provided by national scholarship portal and helped by college to avail the fund it is availed by merit cum mean or minority programme

Campus Life

3.5

the gender ratio of female to male students in campus are 800:1000 . the college organizes many workshops and industrial visits. the students them selves organizes some fresher parties for fresh students to give them a warm welcome. our college has no racism or ragging and who does that has to face a serious problem

Hostel Facilities

2.5

our college does not provide hostel as the college has been situated in just 3.5 acres so the students need to find their own accommodations .i am a outside delhi student and i used to live in a pg near my college and my all expenses including food rent and extra money was around 10000 to 12000 rs a month

Alumni/Alumna

seniors are nice but not so connected to the juniors and yes the seniors always help the juniors if we ask them for any help. our college has a too friendly environment between students

Exam Structure

exams here not a big problem if you got your basics clear before exams you can score a good percentage . we have one sessional and one final examination with practicals in each semester that decides your final results and percentage. practicals are easy and better way to score more in results

Admission

at first i gave a ipu-cet exam and after clearing the exam we were asked to participate in an online counselling of ip university where i chose my college preference and course options in which i was admitted in guru tegh bahadur institute of technology in electrical and electronics branch by submitting my final documents and annual fee in college

Faculty

3.5

our most of the professor are doctorate and knowledgeable and knows how to teach but beside that college also hires unnecessary staff that is much more than teachers in college . teachers are helpful and polite except some as every other college have some frustrated teachers you should maintain a distance to.

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
