SJMCH PURI AT A GLANCE

Now after 2019 onwards our curriculum has changed to CBME curriculum that is Competency Based Medical Education that is far better than previous.CBME curriculum prepares students practically to face the situation.

There is a one year internship after completion of course. You have to help your senior, assistant professor, professor during internship and try to learn from them .During internship there is monthly stipend of rs .42000.

Total admission fees is 38040 for first year ,Hostel fees is 14000 per year , Examination fees is 1560 for first year under utkal university when utkal university is conducting exam now OUHS -Odisha University of health sciences is conducting the exam .

Our campus is 26 acre large. It has a small pond ,a football ground,a basketball court. A volleyball court, a badminton court and a beautiful auditorium. Our annual function name is IRIS which is held between every August -November.

Our room is 22*10 feet in its length and breadth. 3 batchmates in a room everyone is provided a bed ,a bar light,a celling fan and a cupboard.Our hostel food is good .There is no separate registration process for hostel if you want to stay in hostel you give your name and academic will allot you your room and you choose your roommates on your own .

Odisha has 3 oldest medical College which are best on their own and I couldn't get the 3rd ranked college.I choose SJMCH because of its location as it is located 7kms near Shri jagannath temple puri and 25 kms from sun temple konark & puri is located near the capital of odisha.

We have 100 students in our batch and we study mainly 3 subjects and in pathology we have 10 faculties and in pharmacology & Microbiology we have 6 faculties.The departments are conducting 3 internal examination and the university is conducting a MB examination.
