Remarks :
Regarding the positive reviews, the students, as well as some of the faculties, are outstanding in nature. Regarding negative reviews, some faculties are below average. The infrastructure of the college is not as good as per expectation. The location has some mixed reviews. Though it is situated in a village area the enchanting nature and Hirakund dam make it more beautiful. The equipments that are here are very old and they didn't come with modern equipments. On average, the vssut college is good.

Course Curriculum Overview :
According to me, the course curriculum of this college is not well organized. The difficulty level of the course curriculum, as well as the exam structure, is very high. They will not meet the expectation to the as per the ratings of the college.
Placement Experience :
The placement and job opportunities in this college are deteriorating day by day. In the late 90s or in early 2000, This is one of the best colleges for the placements as well as job opportunities. About 80-90 percent of students are placed but nowadays it has decreased to 30-40 cent.No they do not provide any internships but they help to for the internships in other government/private sector.
College Events :
In a year, three events are being celebrated in this college.1-Illumina,2-Samavesh,3-Vassaunt.1)The Illumina is officially known as the sports fest and it is organized in the month of October-November. Various sports events take place like high jump, long jump,kho-kho, Kabaddi, race, shot put, etc. At the final, the winners get the accolades and the prizes are distributed to them.2)The Samavesh is called the tech fest as well as cultural fest and various events such as project display, DJ night, concert, bike stunts, food fest, etc are held.3)Vassaunt is one of the best among the three. It is the cultural fest where many more events take place than the Samavesh.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure of the college is feasible. For odd semester the fee structure is around 20,000/- and for Even semester it is around 14000/- which is applicable from 2nd year. But for the first year, they took the fees for both the 1st and 2nd semester which is 36000/-. Including hostel it is 64000/-(only hostel-28000/-)
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The scholarships that are provided here are Medhabruti and Prerna. The Prerna is only for the scheduled caste/scheduled tribe category students. The medhabruti scholarship is applicable for all category students. For prerna, the scholarship is around 20,000/- per annum and for medhabruti, it is around 10000/- per annum.
Campus Life :
Since I have told student's here are exceptional, various activities, as well as clubs, are there. The clubs are organized by the students themselves for their own satisfaction. The Vslv club here is one of the best as well as a recognized club in the State as well as the country. Other well known clubs are Emotica, idea, souls,quizzine, vibranz, chanting, etc. The various sports activities such as cricket, football, volleyball, basketball,badminton etc are played.
Hostel Facilities :
The infrastructure of the hostel is very good as well as bad. It depends on which hostel you are allotted. For the 1st year, the infrastructure is good. For the second year, the students will be divided into the respective hostel according to their Branch. The hostel which is built now is in a very good condition but the hostel which is made in the 90s is getting wear and tear. The facilities that are provided in here also depends on the hostel that is allotted. Some of the hostels provide good food, cleanliness is maintained but some are their neither they provide good food nor cleanliness maintained.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, here the senior's are very helpful. Initially, there will be a little interaction between junior and senior and after the welcome, the seniors will be very friendly and they will help you in every sort of problem.
Faculty :
Some of the faculty are exceptionally good and some just come here for entertainment purposes.Here the faculties are allotted because of the certificates they own. Since this is a state government deemed University, no one can suspend any faculty from the University whole. Some are there who really care about the proper education and their teaching Will motivate you to give interest. But some are there who don't care about the lessons, just might up and vomit in front of the class. On average the faculty here is good.
