Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is of average - hard level. If studied regularly not that tough to score good. The improvents are needed on providing us proper materials and books. The timing is according the exam settings.
Internships Opportunities
Mental Hospitals and Medical Colleges. The psychology students are more focused on internships as they contains marks. They have to make a project out of their experience during the internship with the certificates attached to it.
Placement Experience
From the UG 6th to PG 4th semesters the students become eligible for campus placements. Reserve Bank of India and other banks like ICICI Bank visits our college for giving placements. Two to Three lakhs per year. 7.5 - 8.5 CGPA scoring students. Take a coaching to appear in Civil Service exams
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees of course of our college starts from rupees four thousand to five thousand only for the batches of NEP 2020. Students from Economically Weaker Sections pays 1000 - 2000 rupees for the courses. Students can also apply for Fee Waiver Scheme for free admissions.
Campus Life
Festivals like Cotton Youth Fest, Foundation Day and an Assamese culture thing called Bhauna are organized. Enough of books according to the curriculum available in the library. Each classroom contains 10 ceiling fans, one blackboard, a table and a chair for the faculties.
Admission
I applied in B. Borooah College, Handique Girls' College, Arya Vidyapeeth College, and Pragjyotish College too. Because Cotton University is called to be a very prestigious institution which is active on every fields and an all rounder. It is also and A grade accredited college by NAAC. Yes, I got rejection from B. Borooah College. Because the cut offs of the the college were very high that year making it hard for me to grab a seat. The admission process on our year was according to the marks scored by a students in CUET conducted by NTA. Total marks was 800. The more you score the marks, the more you can study on the department you wish to take honors
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ration is like 4:10. The relationship between the faculty and the student is good. Depends upon the departments. I like Dr. Neeta Baglari Ma'am and Dr. Pratisha Padmasri Deka Ma'am for their teaching style. I don't like Ma'am Porishmita Saikia's teaching style because of her dullness. There are two semesters in one year and each semester has one mid-semester exam and a final exam. Very less students fail to clear the exams. The level of the exams are average - hard. The curriculum is according to our capability and courses we should be covering within a particular semester.
Other Applied Colleges
Cotton University | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Education)
Because it is an 'A' grade accredited university which provides a lot of opportunities to the students.
B. Borooah College | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Political Science)
Because the infrastructure of the college is not yet developed completely. The college campus is very small
