- The quality of education is very good and competent with other world class universities. The professors are well qualified many of them are post doc holders from different countries
- Campus is 650 acres with very much greenary and infrastructure is very good. Almost every classrom has AC and projectors. Two big playgrounds and three and four auditorium halls
Dislikes
- The University buses are less and sometimes its not enough to hold this much students
- Some infrastructure isn’t maintained well eg. the playground doesn’t has hygiene and bathroom
Course Curriculum Overview :
This course has an syllabus similar with other top universities courses .You can opt this course if you want to become a assistant proff and go for reaserch. The course specialises you to learn very complex physics in simple way and motivates you to pursue reaserch . Some of the syllabus were not competitive exam based like NET ,JEST ,GATE and other than that the course is good and teaching method is both digital and classical The frequency of exam is very high and in a semester there are 3 exams and the difficulty level is high because you didn't get much time to prepare
Internships Opportunities :
The internship opportunities are limited . Gauhati University institutes of Technology has provide some internships. i am not sure about internship thinngs and please do some reasearch to find the answer
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
First year admission of mac physics program an amount 13000 is to be paid including all the fees and in the second year amount is 7200 . For EWS and NCL and income certificate holder tthe admission is free . The SC ,OBC, ST categories has to have income certificate for getting free admission
Campus Life :
Versity week at sept ,General freshers at sept ,Yout festival are some of the events held yearly in Gauhati University The KK handique Library consists of various kind of books its a three storey library and have large collections of books .You can avail and read books through you library card provided after admission
Admission :
I have applied for tezpur University and Dibrugarh university . I got admission in dibrugarh university but i choose Gauhati University because Gauhati University is the no 1 in the north east and also the location is north east gateway guahati . I didnt qualify tezpur university exam due to less study You can get admission in physics through Gauhati University Post graduate entrance exam GUPGET the eligibility is bechlors degree with physics with min 50 percentage
Faculty :
The faculty student ratio is 1 :5.faculties are very honest and good .We can approach them in their cabin anytime other than lunchtime. Some of the faculties are Proff Madhurjya P bora (Astrophysicist), Dr Biman J medhi (Astronomer), Dr Hemen Kumar kalita (Electronics). They are very much qualified and teach very simply and in a understandable way Marking shceme is simple no relative marking. Most of the proff are good and don't cut much marks in the exam . there are 2 sessional exams each semester and One final semester exam
