The faculty here is the most experienced and most of them are passouts of IITS, NITS AND IISERS they have a very decent way of teaching
The campus here is the most beautiful campus I have ever seen . It has a very big and pleasant garder

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was always interested in this course and wanted to become a problem level engineer and I think I made a right decision . I am enjoying the studies but I think they should work on the skills besides of teaching for exams

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 41375 per year

Internships Opportunities :

I have not got any internship yet but I have seen my seniors which are getting stipend . They got internships at numerous companies such as Nvidia ,Amazon ,google etc . They are doing various projects such as making an unmaned Robot

Placement Experience :

The students become eligible for placement before the end exam of last semester. After 2020 more number of companies started visiting the campus including MAHINDRA AMAZON MICROSOFT etc . The highest package offered was 17 lpa and the avg package range between 6 to 10 lpa. I am planning for GATE and then m tech

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure here is very simple at the time of admission you have to pay all the fees for a year at a time that is Rs 41375 which includes lab fees , computer fees , Library fees,tour fees etc after the admission you only have to pay the exam fees which is around rs 2000 /exam . As I have heard from my seniors the fees doesn't increase And there is a student aid fund every year for poor students

Campus Life :

There are many fests like Harud festival , Independence day ,and e robotics. It has a very good library were there are infinitely many books related to courses and journals and there are many sports tournaments such as football cricket badminton carrom etc

Admission :

I was planning for IIT or nit but couldn't make it Then I got to know about KU They take admission on the basis of JEE Mains percentile and the cutoff this year was around 50 percentile . I chose this because it was affordable and a good college

Faculty :

There is a decent amount of faculty The faculty of computer science are the best they are very humble There are 2 exams per semester one is minor it occurs mid sem and has a marking scheme of 35 marks paper and 15 marks class behaviour and the major exam is of 50 marks

Interview Experience :

No there are no interviews for the admission although you should clear the cutoff which is on the basis of JEE Mains percentile. There are three rounds of admission and the cutoff this year was around 50 percentile

The true review of my college by me.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are allowed to sit in placements. And the package offers are very good like last year in 2024 some metallurgical students get 30 lpa packages. And also a good number of students get job in PSU through GATE exam.

Review for GCET Jammu, The best engineering College in Jammu

Course Curriculum Overview:

The content of the course is very much relevant to the field of study. The course curriculum is strictly derived from the AICTE'S directions. The teaching method in the college is traditional using the board method. But from past some time, the smart boards have been provided in almost every department, but in some classrooms the smart boards are still missing. The exams are held after fixed time intervals. The dates for sessional exams are fixed by the heads of the department and their timing is 1.5 hours. The finals are held per b University rules and are of 3 hours duration.

Admission:

There was two exam, first level was JEE Main, after this exam top 20 percent student shortlisted for the exam JEE Advanced this exam happened about two months after the JEE Main. After the selection in JEE Advanced merit list I got a seat in this college according to my all india rank.

Placement Experience:

Due to my batch is the first batch for IIT Jammu and there is first time placement happeninng. Now there is placement is started from this first week of september. 17 out of 33 students from the branch Computer Science got the job they will join in next year july or august. Our institute is also providing internship in all the stream, CS, EE, ME, CE, CHE,and Material Science.
