Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is carefully designed to ensure that students have access to the best possible education. The real life applications of this course is immense. The curriculum prepares you very well for real world applications. The teaching methods should change from the traditional classroom to engaging in real life experiences. The timings of the exams are not good, after the postings it comes all at once.

Placement Experience :

The placementa in allied sector is only through to the medical college hospital of the university itself. Other placements include to major companies like siemens, philips , GE ,etc. The students are eligible for placements after the 8th sem only. The package given by the medical college is 2.2 LPA

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The yearly fees at yenepoya university for allied courses is 1.2 lakhs. Caution deposit is 10 thousand. Registration fee is 1 lakh. Yearly hostel fee is 80 thousand for first year and 80 thousand + five percent of 80 thousand for the following years. Scholarship is available for students who have above 90 percent in PCB subjects gets 50 percent off in yearly tuition fee.

Campus Life :

My campus life here in Yenepoya university is thriving with social aspects blooming like a flower. There are many clubs here in Yenepoya including radio, chess, leaders of India, etc. there are many events held in the university including arts, sports, musicals, culturals , and an annual day. There are many books available in the central library. There are ac classrooms equipped with tvs for great academic activities.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is average in terms of quality and affordability. There is extra charge for air conditioning and dry cleaning. The facilities include bed, bucket, tumbler, fans, locker storage facility, tables, chairs, shoe rack. The bathroom is common for all. Meal quality is average with four days of chicken and one day egg.

Admission :

I chose this college since I failed in KEAM exam and I had no other choice but go to a private university. The administration process is of two ways, directly or through agents. I took my admission through an agent. The eligibility criteria for the admission in this college is 65 percentage of marks in grade 12.

Faculty :

The faculty members are well qualified and knowledgeable. The course structure includes 6 semesters of classes and clinical postings, and also 2 semesters of internships. The exam system includes two internal exams and one final exam. The marking is for 25 marks in internals and 50 marks in finals. The faculty to student ratio is very low. The faculty student relation is very agreeable and they are very approachable. The examination is very easy compared to other universities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because occupational therapy is improving ones quality of life.I chose this so that I can help people that struggle with their everyday living after an injury.our curriculum provides all the practical skills that can be applied in real life settings.we have patients at our own hospitals and we have postings at different departments.we also have PMR that is physical medicine and rehabilitation that is especially useful for occupational therapists. After the 1st 2 months of our sem we have our 1st internals exam, theory and practical, then again after 2 months we have 2 nd internals, that is also theory and practical. And after 2 months we have our semester exams. As a medical student who is studying occupational therapy exams are difficult ,we have so much to study and we give more importance on practicals.
