- Derlakatte campus, where the hospital is located is nice. Almost every facility is available there.
- Hostel mess is good. Food they provide is of decent quality. Every month there will be mess meeting conducted to review our change the food.
Dislikes
- Currently college is located in naringana campus. Its always under construction and very far away from town
- Number of students has increased. That is student : patient ratio is not Balanced. OPD seems like rush most of the time.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I decided to choose the course because of my interest in the profession. We use to get clinical training where we have real life experiences with the patients. We have University examination every semester and in each semester we have 2 internal examination Internal examination consists of 40% and rest 60% from semester exams
Internships Opportunities :
As i am studying bachelor's of physiotherapy, and yenepoya has its own hospital, internship is provided by yenepoya. As of my knowledge there is good exposure to patients here. I belive to learn a lot and become a better physiotherapist.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Bpt consists of 8 semester (4 years) and 6 months of internship. Fees is paid every semester. Our course fees is following: 1st installment : ?120000 2nd installment to 9th installment : ?45000 ( each installment) Total course fees : ( 120000 + (8*45000) ) = ?480000 Hostel fees: 1st year : ?75000 2nd year : ? 79000 3rd year : ? 85000 4th year : ? 90000 Final installment : ?47500(may be avoided) TOTAL HOSTEL FEES : ?376500 Exam fees : ?5000/year Uniform and books are not included in any of the fees. it should be bought separately. Students who have achieved more than 90% marks in 12th ( physics, chemistry and biology combined) will get 50% concession in course fees every year if they are able to score 70% or more each year.
Campus Life :
Usually there is to be an intramural sports (indoor and outdoor) and a cultural event each year. Also inter collegiate events. We have a very large central library with very good facilities. There is yendurance zone where basketball, volleyball and badminton are played.
Hostel Facilities :
6 people accommodate in one room. Its a little bit conjested. But cleaning is top. All toilet, washroom, hostel rooms, all are well maintained. Superb nenu with decent food. Hostel is inside the campus. Very nice.
Admission :
I was more oriented to this college because one of my family friend suggested me this college. Also one doctor which i had met in ernakulam also suggested this which made me to clearly choose yenepoya over surathkal college. Admission process is quite simple. Anyone with more than 60% marks in PCB 12th standard can apply. The first candidates who takes the admission get the seats.
Faculty :
Im not exactly sure about the facaulty to student ratio. But each batch has about hundred students in bpt. And there may be more than 15 staffs. There are few excellent staffs.Also some are disaappointing. There are 2 internal examination and 1 semester exam in each semester with a total of 8 semesters.
