Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is very well planned and revised based on competency. It prepares us not to be acquainted with bookish knowledge only but to actually apply it to real life cases. We see clinical cases there diagnosis, treatment everything along with learning it's theoretical aspects . That's the reason I opted for this course. Improvement could be in paying scale of MBBS graduates as we work very very hard for that degree and to serve people. Exams are very tiring and are conducted in one single stretch for two months. U will have to compromise your sleep in order to complete your revision before exams Difficulty is medium Such that it will force you to study but not to just study and study

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship is compulsory in our course for 12 months in the Affiliated hospital as an intern which is Sir sunderlal hospital here in BHU. It will offer you a stipend of 25-30k/month. Stipend varies from state to state and college to college. Here in BHU it is 25k being one of the highest as it is a central institute

Fees and Financial Aid

First year fees in all cost 33,500 INR Breakdown : Institute maintenance -15000 Tution fees -5000 Hostel fees-550 Hostel maintenance -1100 Various other amenities and caution fees Summing up to 33464 to be precise It is same for all categories and no scholarship on this fees Few batchmates who have scholarship get there hostel mess fees deducted with it (Mess charge is seprate which is 4000/month)

Campus Life

3

ELIXIR is the annual fest held in my college during October. It includes various cultural events, sports events, Dance nights, Fashion show, band nights, etc We have our own library of medical College which is well maintained, books available, airconditioned. We also have a central library open for all the faculties of BHU It is well maintained as well There as well organised grounds for each hostel complex of BHU We have swimming pools as well for swimmers. Various foundations related to social work in general, Betterment of medical fraternity, Betterment of students all are there

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel rooms are made as per the housing criteria of WHO with 2 individuals in 110×110 sq feet room with two cots ,two table and chair set, and two cupboard and a window Common washroom Mess is owned by private contractors whose charges and menu are regulated by the hostel administration Food is just like every other mess in the world Survivalbe You will get your hostel room alloted as soon as you secure admission here Our first year hostel is a seprate building Fees is very affordable like 550 for one year with no electricity or water bill

Admission

I had applied in AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Jaipur, JIPMER puducherry, IMS BHU etc I got IMS BHU Varanasi but could not make it to AIIMS or JIPMER because of my rank. For MBBS in government college you need to clear NEET UG exam after your class 12th with good rank. The competition is very tough as 25 lakh students fight for 5 lakh seats I would have preferred AIIMS because of the minimal college fee and a better city. But at my rank and marks I was alloted IMS BHU. I am still happy with IMS BHU because the fees here is still lesser as compared to other colleges which I didn't mention. Also BHU being a central university is full of opportunities to build contact with other fields Cutoff is increasing year by year. During my time the closing rank for general category was 1304

Faculty

4.5

Faculty to student ratio is very good u will realise it when I say that our batch of 100 divided into 8 groups and each group assigned two facilities (this is only one subject I am talking about) Dr Avijeet Mukherjee, Dr Deepa Devdas, Dr Prasenjit Bose, Dr Sameee Singh and many more who are just not coming to slide there presentation but to actually get hold of the concept Everyone here is likeable until you don't annoy any faculty with your indiscipline We have 3 sessional exams with one theory and one practical for each subject which forms the internal assessment Finally we have Proffesional exams at the end of year with 2 theory and one practical exam for each subject which is the external assessment. Our curriculum is very interesting and intriguing because we keep seeing live examples of what we learn through books

Course Curriculum Overview:

Current MBBS curriculum is purely clinical based and hence clinical postings are crucial. It is mandatory to attend them and strict actions are taken if you fail to do so. This curriculum prepares you for your NEETpg or NExT. Exams held are semester 1,2 and pre professionals and then professional. Timing 3 hours and difficulty level is okay. Mostly questions come from important topics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is one of the most respected courses in India so it was always a dream to become a doctor. Faculty is abundant in every department and there are 100 students in every batch with 8-10 faculty members in every department. The faculty in each department is at different position and post on the basis of their qualification and experience. There is one head of department in each department who is the most senior in terms of experience and their year of MBBS batch. Under HOD are two professors and under them two assistant professors. There are 3-4 junior residents in each department. The teaching method varies from professor to professor and some teachers are efficient in terms of their teaching way and helping students understand difficult topics. The course is extremely difficult with lots of stress due to never completing syllabus and diffucult testing exams. The exams are held regularly each month as every topic is completed. Passing in these exams is a bit difficult.
