Course Curriculum Overview :
The relevance of the course is pretty high as it delves deep into what the company actually wants. The mix of stereotypical courses and revolutionary courses like ML and AI and TOC are great help when applying and getting into the industry.
Internships Opportunities :
BCG - 1.85 Lakhs per month (Junior consultant) Arcesium - 1.25 lakhs per month (Software development engineer) JM financial - 50k per month ( Financial Analyst) Other companies under tech and finance also come offering an average package of 50k
Placement Experience :
As of now, no batch has passed out yet, although, the internships they have been offered and the PPO's they have got looks very promising. BCG, Predli , Arcesium, JM , Flipkart are the most prominent. The highest internship package I have heard was 3 lakh per month. Average would be 50k per month. My plans are getting a good job after completion of Btech.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees keeps on increasing every year. For now, the total fees per year is 10lakhs, with 4 being for hostel and mess and 6 for tution. Plaksha offers a variety of scholarships, in which the most common is a merit scholarship of 25%.
Campus Life :
The social life is pretty dull, as it is a new college, no fests have yet happened. The team does promise to host a fest this year but it has not been confirmed yet. As the academic pressure is too much, nothing happens other than studies and sports.
Hostel Facilities :
A table, matress, cupboards, chairs, table lamp and storage spaces are given. The hostel is cumpolsary as it is a residential course. The hostels and mess are a bit expensive, the rooms are worth , but the food is not.
Admission :
The college was recommended to me by my physics professor after my mother said no to go abroad. I applied to HKUST and even get an offer from them, however, I had to settle for Plaksha as I did not have scope to give entrance exams of other private universities . My college accepts almost all sorts of exams from boards to JEE. And you dont have to be an academic excellence to get into the university.
Faculty :
The college professors are actually really helpful and keen to talk to students. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:15. The best faculties are the ones for AI and ML as they are young and understand students well. There are a lot of assessment components and hence it is hard to score well on all.
Interview Experience :
Yes, I had a technical interview as well as a personal interview. The technical interview consisted of writing an essay testing your entrepreneuial skills, the personal interview was more of a discussion and was relatively very comfortable.
