  • Some professors are really not helpful. They just get you demotivated and feel left out.
  • Seniors are not that interactive until and unless you are really close to them. They dont give advice when needed

Course Curriculum Overview :

The frequency of mid and end semesters exams should be less because they are conducted back to back in a week that gives a lot of stress. The difficulty level is also high. Curriculum includes many labs and subjects and also the best activity like entrepreneurship which is really helpful.

Internships Opportunities :

Many companies like ISRO , Reliance, Jindal , Bain and Co. provide internship opportunities to BIT students. Because of their smartness and the cgpa they have achieved definitely it matter. If you want to go in research definitely ask your professors to work with them and wrote referrals and letter of recommendations for you because at the end it works to get internships. BIT also send students to student exchange program like in Illinois tech. ISRO offers as an research intern to work at their technology.

Placement Experience :

3rd year end and 4th year start companies start visiting and interviewing students. Placements are not that good as of now due to market. But yes atlassian , makemytrip, ZS , goldman sachs, microsoft. 75% student get placed. Highest package is 60LPA. My plans after degree is to pursue higher studies in the states or UK

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The year wise or semester wise fees is 184000. It keeps on increasing 10% every semester. CSAB students have to pay 4K more. There is a merit scholarship called GP Birla scholarship choosing topper students and giving them fee waiver. A cut in fees for category students as well.

Campus Life :

There are two fests in the whole year first is tech fest held in october that is Pantheon it is really fun with hackathons and quizzes and team partnership and then in march is cultural fest largest in east zone Bitotsav where celebrities are invited to perform like mrunal thakur, pineapple express, MJ5. Extracurriculars are not that easily manageable with 75% attendance as mandatory. Dristi is a really nice club which works as an NGO. A really old library is the best place at BIT mesra with so many books a nerd would love it.

Hostel Facilities :

Registration process is really easy and fast. All facilities are provided with quality food 4 times a day and menu has all kind of dishes from special to normal dal chawal. A bed, a chair a table are provided in the room with a big window and a cupboard too. The girls hostel are rwally big and airy. Washrooms also get cleaned everyday

Admission :

BIT mesra is a gfti i did not apply for it but choice filled it and got it in the csab round counselling . I got EEE branch alloted in it whereas I was getting chemical in NIT Nagpur which i did not want because i wanted to go towards top circuital branches. I also got metallurgical engineering in NIT jaipur but did not want it because who does it now.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio depends on the department as well but it is good. Faculties are really helpful and there to look after you here in the campus as well as in hostels as they are only the wardens. The best professors acoording to me are Richa Mishra and DS Acharya they would give us research opportunities and teach well in class and talk like a friend. I dont like the physicw faculty because of their strictness and the way they punish. There are 2 quizes of 10 marks each which are easy to score in and there is 25 marks mid semester examination and 50 marks end semester exam the rest marks are taken for assignments. They are easy to crack but some subjects may get you a backlog like BECE or BEE or Physics. Very less students fail. Course curriculum is up to date with IITs and NITs but subjects like biology and universal harmony, I dont think are relevant

From 3rd year one can go for placements, they are eligible. Campus placements do happen. Infosys, tcs, wipro, and many more companies visit here and hire the most skilled engineers. The percentage is obviously really good. A minimum of 80% of the students get placed in good-paying jobs.
