Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is quite up to date. The course selection is flexible and changing course in the starting of semester is allowed. These courses do prepare you for real life applications. The courses can be improved by increasing flexibility. The internals occur at one month difference. Their difficulty level is medium.

Internships Opportunities :

More than 100 companies offer on campus internship. The stipends vary from 1 lakh per month to 30 thousand per month. Many students go for off campus internship including Microsoft and Google. Cisco, Dell, Amazon, Air Asia, HP regularly come for internships.

Placement Experience :

7th semester students are eligible for placements. More than 350 companies visit with more than 1500 offers made. The highest package was 48 lpa while the median package was 12lpa. The placement percentage was 80%+.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The year wise fee is 2,16,000 approx for Comedk students. This includes the tution fees. You will be charged approx 35000 more while admission in college. There are no additional charges. The tution fees vary according to the category. For Kcet, there are 10+ slots according to your category and income whose fees vary widely with the maximum being 1,20,000. These slots can be downloaded from Kcet website. Kcet is only for Karnataka students. The tution fees of management quota is 10,00,000 for CSE. This varies with branch

Campus Life :

There are two main fests held here. The first it PhaseShift. It's a technical fest held around December. The other one is the famous Utsav held around May. There are many events held throughout the year. There exists more than 22 clubs. There's an indoor stadium too. Modern equipments are available en mass.

Hostel Facilities :

There unlimited wifi for hostelites. There are exclusive hostelites only fests. Farachoue is the biggest fest for hostelites. The first time hostel fees is high. After that from next time, hostel fees decreases. Food quality is okayish. Primary South Indian food is served.

Admission :

I got a decent 1029 rank in Comedk. During counseling my first preference was RVCE CSE. But with this rank I couldn't get it. I was confused between RVCE CSE allied and BMSCE CSE. But I finally took BMSCE CSE. For Kcet, the cutoff varies according to your slot. There's no criteria for management

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is quite good. Almost all the faculties are friendly as they are trained to be. Although the faculties of Physics and Chemistry department do have a bad reputation. Chemistry faculty Ravishankar P N is notorious for being rude and lack of knowledge. There are three internal exams out of which best two are taken into account. There are lab exams towards the end of semester. These all account for 50% of marks. The rest 50% is given based on End Semester Exams.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There course subjects included in each semester is pretty much related to the branch of the student, each course subject has an important role in making the student ready for jobs. Some of the core subjects are necessary for real world applications and in the interviews as well during palcements ,questions have been asked from various subjects. Sometimes the speed of covering the syllabus is fast which makes us mug up the topics which is not beneficial for us because this method doesn't hold any value when it comes to applying it in real life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this curriculum because I like mechanical engineering. The program covers fundamental subjects like thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, and manufacturing processes. computational tools such as CAD & CAM are incorporated into the curriculum to enhance design and production skill. practical learning through well-equipped laboratories, workshops, and research opportunities with industry-standard facilities that allow students to engage in hands-on projects. Many students at MIT take part in collaborative research with faculty members, preparing them for careers in research. Frequency of exams is twice in a semester. One midsem and one endsem. Midsems are 30% of your total score Endsems are 50% of your total score. Rest are assignments.
